Man U fans throughout the land hoping someone at SkyBet has spilt their pot noodle on the keyboard and mashed random numbers in while cleaning it . . .

this is disgraceful, lose out on benzema, and if this is true that s just insulting.
no-one will want to come to our team if we are seriously signing people like owen, we might as well get all the other sell by rejects
#3
Lol I doubt he'd ever go to United thats why they have given it ridic odds.

Not gonna happen.

They might be signing him for the reserves :p

I'm a United fan and will be majorly annoyed if they sign him - hes awful!

Wouldn't say hes awful bit harsh but hes not what he used to be, and far to big a risk.

It was on Talksport earlier today that they're in talks with him.

You feel strongly about this I see

Can't see it myself, maybe his gambling is bad again and he's lumped a load of cash himself on the move hoping he creates some desire in the market for him thats not Stoke or Hull on pay as you play contracts!
#11
FFS how desperate must Owen and Fergie be? I'll bet Man City fans are ROFL.
banned#12
I'm hoping it falls through and they pay Spurs another £30M for Bent!

LOL.... Whatever way you look at this, it smacks of desperation.
#13
I can't believe Fergie would be so stupid. Why would he even consider it?????

Nope just torrets.

I'd have him back at Liverpool pay to play.
#15
Could be worse, Villa are being linked with Titus Bramble.

Even Newcastle let him go.
#16
i am a united fan and i would be happy if we signed michael owen.

Ffs! We've only just had the first aid room freed up when we got rid of Saha.

Not looking good for man u next season, a team of ageing stars ala van de sar, giggs, scholes, neville.

a squad full of mediocrity, the korean bloke, nani, a couple of brazilian full backs, oshea, carrick, then hargreaves whos career is all but over unfortunatly.

Out go tevez and ronaldo to be replaced by some guy from wigan and a crock from the toon who's more interested in horseracing.

Ouch chelsea and liverpool must be itching to get started.

omg if he does i will go and weewee on his gates!!!!!!

(he lives down the road i wouldnt make a special trip!! )

LuLz @ everyone thinking that Fergie is 'desperate' and doesn't have clue what he's doing.
LuLz @ Man Utd winning the Premier League and getting to the Champions League Finald and now everyone thinking that they're going to get relegated.
LuLz @ people thinking Owen is a 'terrible' footballer.

Wow, some people on here don't have a clue about football.

Watched a program about Owen last night strangely enough on some foreign satellite channel. You couldnt be more accurate with that comment.

If he don't sign for MU least he still has his DLA payments I'd assume.
#27
413 career appearances 201 goals. Yes he's been injured a lot but if Man Utd can keep him fit he will a great signing. He's one of the best goal scorers of the modern era.

Does 12 months ten years ago count as an 'era'?

Correction made for you.

He will never be the same again. His speed has gone, regardless of fitness.

Players that spend more time on the bench than the pitch, are not good purchases - and he makes King look like an ever present.

I'd be stunned if Fergie signed him, talk about replacing good players with average players.

Feel free to take your gissa job brochure, your helicopter, your equine fixation and your miserable face to anywhere daft enough to employ you. We're already looking forward to your duet on the KC Stadium pitch with Phil Brown...

Don't think that this criticism has anything to do with your fading talents as a footballer though - no, our beef with you remains the four years-worth of utter contempt shown to the people who bought the shirts, seats and subscriptions that funded your lavish lifestyle.

At least people like Joey Barton go through the motions of badge-kissing and patronising the punters. You couldn't even be bothered to do that, spending your time on Tyneside with a face like a smacked ****, interspersed with brief interludes of sucking lemons.

Your skin may be thick but it'll never be as thick as your wallet. Don't feel bad about us though - we'd have only blown the tens of millions of pounds that went into your offshore accounts on other ungrateful pillocks.

No shame, no guts, no soul, but a bulging portfolio. Role model? my ****. You put the con in Icon.

So many haterz on this site that don't know anything about football. :-(

Owen scored more league goals than Tevez last season despite making less league apparences and playing for a weaker team.

LuLz @ the haterz thinking he would be a 'terrible' signing and thinking Fergie has lost the plot.

You guys make me LOL...........a lot.
