Before I purchase the micro sd cards to go with my dstt, is there any differance in quality between the cheaper cards and the more expensive ones. I dont want to buy cheaper ones and find they are playing up while using the ndsl.
Thanks.

Steer clear of fakes, dont buy from marketplace sellers, Ebay, DealExtreme etc...trust buying from Play.com or Amazon.

question I've been asking myself. The kids' games have been freezing more often recently, and I'm wondering if the Micro SD cards are the problem and whether I should replace them (they've been used intensively for a year). Interested to hear what others think...

I always buy from Play.Com You can always rely on a genuine product. :)

It's mostly a speed thing, more expensive cards have a mush higher speed rate, subsequently loading times are shorter and less chance of things skipping, stalling etc

I think even an expensive card is sub £10 so would def go with above recommendations i.e. play or Amazon or somebody like that

Re above post about freezing, might be worth just taking the DSTT and Mrco SD out and giving them a good blow, get any dust out. Other than that try updating the DSTT Firmware, some newer games run better on the newer FW. If still sluggish I would say it was the cards or even possibly a fake DSTT, there are plenty in the market.

DealExtreme are good for the DSTT cards,, I have bought 2 from them.

For the memory cards I go to memorybits.co.uk and buy SanDisk 2gb = £5, cant go wrong

Lots of fake dstt coming out of dealextreme at the moment. Most of them run okay but ive had the odd one freezing. Im also sticking to sandisk micro sd as i had a problem with a Kingston.

Yes it will work... but no guarantee it`s genuine. I would rather pay the extra and buy from a reputable source ie. Play.com
