Hello, Im having a bit of microsd trouble,

Ive tried to format it on my pc but it keeps formatting it at 1.79gb regardless of whether its fat of fat 32 how do i get it back to 8gb???

Cheers

Try using the Panasonic formatter, you have to download it and then run it though.
Windows was not designed to format SD cards.

If that fails, I am out of ideas, sorry.

Panasonic formatter

format it as ntfs right click my computer and select manage then storage then disc management then look for the drive letter given to your card and see if its seen as its full size try formating from in here.

Yeah i've learnt that you can use an 8GB card in it but the viewty will only ever see 2GB, you can still fill it up with stuff though so if you was to put 6GB of music on it through your PC you'd still have 2GB left for the phone to use and can still access all your music through the phone.

well that was working for me at first but then once my 2gb was full and i deleted all my photos/videos etc the phone then though the card was full even though there was over 4gb left and kept reverting back to phone memory

i think i know what the issue is as it was formatted with fat it would of only made a 2gb parttion thats why the other 5gb is unallocated what you need to do is go into disc management and delete the partition this will then allow the full space to be formatted then reformat it as fat32 or ntfs.

try formating from c-prompt
start run type cmd
then type format c: c being the drive letter as to what it is given
