Were you a first time customer with them? If not they'll probably come knocking for their money back. A lot of deals involving Littlewoods/Very get slated and voted cold round here

Yes am a first time customer. Had the confirmation email with the price, so i would have thought they would have to supply the goods at that price.

Don't bother, they will probably charge you full price down the line, avoid them plain and simple.

it's because you are special :whistling:
a great deal of people have written here stating the group have taken voucher money back, including me, for no reason at all (real 1st time customer)
simply because of their clause which says: you must first check that it was issued to you and that you are eligible to use it.
as these codes are NOT issued direct to the customer, they can and will refuse them, even at a much later date, they simply state, it is a code copied all over the internet, and they are not liable for it

don't worry, the littlewoods taking back money thing happened 3 years ago and since then there's been a tiny amount of people that have had money "recovered" usually due to ripping the proverbial out of the codes. 99.9% of these littlewoods stories are just chinese whispers.

typical, I tell you how it was, and I am talking crap, shame you can never ask a question, get a reply and leave it at that, instead of personal insults.

I never used a code before NOR had a previous account, never dealt with any of the shop direct group as i later found out it was called
it was ONE use of the voucher for ONE purchase on a new account
it was NOT 3 years ago, it was last summer for me, a 15 quid voucher which allowed a 25 quid spend, it was rescinded 2-3 months later, for shoes i had since worn, and could not return.

and in my second bought of stupidness I got caught up in the hard drive thingy a few months ago, not realising, very/addidtions/littlewoods are all the same, and had to fight for a simple refund, ending in a chargeback

Ill be keeping an eye out. Ive noticed that woolworths and very seem to be the same company. When i searched for the points the page that came up had the same paroducts with the same reviews. I thought that was a bit strange!

Well I can only say, I didnt abuse the system, I wasnt aware of this forum back last summer, nor of the potential issue of vouchers on the internet

I think this saga started after people abusing the £25 code as mentioned before.
I guess the Home Shopping Group wanted this back.as well as any other codes these customer had used.

In the 3-4 years I have used Home Shopping group...I've had no problems whatsoever! (I didn't use the £25 voucher before, so maybe thats why I've had no problems?)

I guess greed got the better of people using the £25 voucher, and now they're paying for it!

leecroot: I would say you have nothing to worry about at all. :)

In the 3-4 years I have used Home Shopping group...I've had no problems whatsoever! (I didn't use the £25 voucher before, so maybe thats why I've had no problems?)

I guess greed got the better of people using the £25 voucher, and now they're paying for it!

I will keep my fingers crossed. It will go back if they charge me the full price!

yeah they are part of the same group. Oh and they'll charge you the full amount with the discount being refunded once the goods are dispatched. It's an ass from elbow way of doing it but just so you don't panic when the full amount does get taken. Just keep an eye out for the refund.

Seems to have worked for me. £19 taken, then when item was dispatched £15 credited to card.
