Mse is renamed itself vista anti spyware
#2
Yes it's free.

Sounds like you have some scareware posing as MSE
#3
Gone in in safe mode and cannot open any programmes
#4
Any idea how to get rid of the scareware
#5
Cannot open mse or do a system restore or open malwarebytes or spybot :(

yup, restart, tapping f8 to access safe mode, then system restore. THats the quick fix.

Then you need malwarebytes, spyware doctor, and various freeware programs to remove it. HIjack this and system mechanic is handy too.

Googling fake mse shows this as the first result which has a link to how to remove it

Use your original windows software cd to do a repair should help you to restore when it was last safe or safe mode is f8 I think
#11
Ask to repair not to install windows I had a problem and that was the only way without doing a complete install but u must have the windows operating cd to do it. In my case my system had crashed and was stuck couldn't use the keyboard or mouse and the windows repair helped and I didn't lose software or files.

Well what do you expect? Do you really think they are gonna go to all the time and trouble to develop decent rogue software, for you to just simply do a system restore?
C'mon, think about it.
