I was wondering if anyone knows if you can connect a ps3 to the internet via a broadband share dock for your dongle, i was thinking about bying the one off very but wondered if i could. would i have to set it up and then have the laptop as the host as i havent got a home computer?

latency on mobile broadband dongles is generally very high. Wouldn't suggest even attempting to use one for gaming :)

I have got unlimited usage on My dongle so would this mean it is alright an di do get very good reception in my house for the mobile broadband. sorry to sound dim but what do you mean latency?

Ping / latency.


eg cod 4 cod 5 Mp they will see you on their screen a long time before you see them on your screen and noooooo too late you're on the floor with 1 more death.

I usually find that my ping when wired up to my home broadband is about 35-60 to most sites. If I use my mobile broadband it can go from 300-1200!

so the higher the ping rate the worse?

the contract says the usage is unlimited with fair usage policy and says in the small print 4gb a day is acceptable, tis costing me £35 a month so hopefully is correct

i know are, i got a free laptop, was skint at time and computer had broke so thought may aswell, will get broadband and tele with virgin me thinks soon
