Mobile Phone Contract Help

Hello i'm a couple of months into my contract with the 3 network which is £15 a month of an 18 month contract. Recently the phone has been going wrong and doing the following things:

Switching it's self off
Keeps like rebooting
Freezing
Doesn't recongise the memory
Not recongising the headset

Am I due anything like a replacement as the product is faulty, please help.

Yep, if you got it straight from three then it's under 12 months warranty and you shall need to contact customer services...

Or, the best one, use "333" from your handset. :)

But yeah, as I say... all electronic goods legally have to have 12 months warranty from new, so get in touch with them.

What sort of phone is it?

I sure hope it isn't a Nokia 6280 or Nokia 6288... :-(

As it is a contract they have to fix it or replace it with new. I had this happen a year ago with o2 and they replaced it with brand new and gave me a temp phone.

I had a contract k800i from 3 which went belly up after a couple of months i called them and they sent me a pre paid bag to send phone back to them and got a new one delivered within 3 days which they promise no problems at all just call them should be ok

well lets start off

I phoned up sunday and they said they would collect it monday which they did and it would be repaired/replaced for free.

wednesday no one turned up waited from 9am-6pm my dad lost wages

phoned up today been told to pay £30.00 as the softwares broke, i can't cause damage to it, they won't repair it unless they pay £30.00. They won't replace it or repair it unless i pay £30.00

so what i should do please help
urgent please i need it for everday use please i have no clue what to i have about 14 months left on the contract please help i'm young aswell.

Latest news they will no deliever it next Thursday but my phones faulty please help I really need help with this.

just take it to carphone werehouse and they will fixed it for free.... It just want the software updating thats all

They said the softwares is damaged or something and why would the carphone warehouse do it for me?

Did you sign up with Three direct or go through another Company?
How do Three think you damaged the phone? I take it they still have the phone? If it was me I'd be back on the phone to them and demand to speak to a Manager or a Senior Supervisor.

They haven't commented who caused it for some reason, they still have the phone, if you have up you reach Bombay where the people know nothing and probably all the people higher in the hierarchy are in England letting the Bombay people who know nothing really trying to sort it and they have no power to do anything.

There are some members of the UK staff on that forum who are both helpful and friendly.
I am not saying this to fob you off, just that they may be able to help more than us folks on here telling you what *should* happen to what is actually happening in reality.
Three CS do leave a lot to be desired as i have said before :-(

When/if you have to call back Three CS, ask straight away to speak with a supervisor. Be calm, stern but do not back down. The initial contact, they may ask you to explain, do so, but then when they try to offer a resolution, insist at that time, speaking with a supervisor. They may say they're busy, so request a callback and make sure you ask for an expected call back time, within the hour, day etc. Write down names of who you speak/spoke with, don't be afraid to ask their names. Build a report on what has happened and if you have to take it further, and threaten legal action, you have dates, times and names which will assist your case. I did and didn't need to go to court, but they backed down cos of the burden of evidence i had built up......

I had exacally the same problem with a w850i direct from vodafone, i threatened to take them to court for breach of contract (as they have a legal duty to replace a faulty phone) they sent a new phone and gave me half price line rental for the rest of my contract. THEY HAVE TO REPLACE OR FIX FAULTY PHONES WITHOUT CHARGING, NO IF'S NO BUT'S, if they refuse, you can cancel your contract without penalty charges / compounded linerental, due to them breaking the contract they entered in to with you.

Little update

Phone came back Friday for some strange reason, no repairs or anything. Well opened the box and guess what one of the bits that was disattached from the phone when I sent it came back snapped in two, I mean wtf. Well moving on about 6 today I got a phone call from Raj, who I could barely understand nor had a grasp of the most basic spoken Englsih. Well anyone they didn't even know I had the phone, then he asked if he worked after the repairs, so I went you didn't do none, so none I've either got to send away again for a second week and lose it for another week all while i'm pay for my contract and no phone or go to Carphone Warehouse and get them to check if they agree it's damaged or something they will contract 3 and replace, any ideas what to do next, cheers it's ridiculous.
