Hello,

I went to the Vodafone store in Meadowhall on Saturday and picked up a SE c902 (Red) on contract. The phone was free and the contract was £25 pm with unlimited browsing.

The phone continued to show "sim inactive" for over 24 hours after i got it home so i spoke to Vodafone (191) and gave them all the relevant details. I asked if i was being charged (contract) and was told that the number had been cancelled in Dec 2007 and it had not been reactivated for my contract. He asked if i could get back to the store to sort things out. Basically, i have been given a phone and no contract has been set up so what do i do ?

Go back to the store and get it sorted or sell it on ebay and keep my old phone & contract ? :)

keep the phone vodafone can afford to lose 1 phone.

The worrying thin is the number only got cancelled 7 months back so people may still try ringing it, especially if its been used for online forms, added to the fact that where a mobile number is needed for an online form people often use their old number it leaves you open to calls from srangers!
