Hi, I have just bought my Daughter a new mobile for her Birthday the Samsung Tocco on a £30.00 a month for 18 months Orange deal. We're thinking of getting insurance for the phone in case she loses it or it gets pinched etc. Can anyone suggest a good company to go to or tell me which companies to avoid?

Many Thanks, Jane

with most new contract phones you get a month free, then i think its around £5 a month after that, not sure what other companies offer though.

Put it on your house insurance, only costs around £10 for the year x

Thanks, will try the house insurance I think. I've had a quick look round and some places want about £8.00 a month! They're having a laugh!

Orange Care Insurance is £6.00 a month. Includes next business day replacement including weekends :). Just dial 150 from your Orange Pay Monthly mobile. Remember account holder has to be present!

phone insurance will cover the cost of any calls made from the phone whilst it is stolen/lost until it is cancelled/blocked, as well as replacing handset.

home insurance will only cover replacement handset, NOT the calls. Also, there may be restrictions on your home insurance as to where you are and aren't covered.

that's why there's such a big difference in price. check with your home insurers to make sure!!

Very good point, but surly there's different levels of insurance?
