I seem to get a ****** reception in my house but when i step outside the reception is full (so have to leave phone on the window ledge).
I was wondering if i were to purchase one of those signal boosters from Ebay would it improve my signal so that i didnt have to leave my phone on the window ledge just to get 1bar of reception?

Cheers

Wrong Forum.
NO, they do not work. You could try another Network or a Bluetooth.

I had a really bad signal with 3 Network in the back of my House, so I connect my Bluetooth to the Mobile and left the Mobile at the front of the House. A bit of messing about but it did the job.

Change of network is the only way mate.

I had zero O2 network in my house for years, but moved around the corner & it's full now !

I would assume that the recommendation was to use bluetooth so that you could leave the phone by the window and use a bluetooth headset to make calls to give you a little more freedom.

I've been looking into a similar problem at work as a user has a similar problem to yourself, unfortunately I've not been able to find any cost effective solutions. What you really need is a GSM repeater, these basically consist of a box which attaches to the outside of your house which is then connected into repeaters within the house, transferring the signal from outside to inside. These start off about 400 pounds plus VAT and then fitting which is no use to you.
