MODS/ Admin: my weekend newspaper posts...

Is it possible that my weekend 'Saturday Newspaper Summary' can be allowed as it is with all the offers. Every week there is someone that turns round 'this deal is already posted' etc...

I know they are already posted, but as the title say's 'summary'
What it Summary means:
A summary, synopsis, or recap is a shorter version of the original. Such a simplification highlights the major points from the much longer subject, such as a text, speech, film, or event. The purpose is to help the audience get the gist in a short period of time.

I know people appreciate these posts because they can see what is on offer & decide which paper to buy.

I find your posts useful nicster, but there is a problem if you look at it strictly from a site rule point of view. A "summary" belongs in misc if the separate deals have already been posted-surely you see it isnt fair if you are gaining heat from other peoples work? so if you just want to post it to help out-post it in misc. If your post is gaining you heat, and detracting from the heat that the individual deals deserve then surely that isnt right? Its like me putting up a summary of the top 3 deals of each day, found by others and attempring to gain kudos from it is it not?

No offence-like I said I find your summaries very useful, and you have found many great deals, but Im just answering your point-you would be the first to complain if you found a great deal and someone else posted it. Nobody should be allowed to gain any heat from someone elses "find"

Totally agree with Barky.....

Lucerysmum recently started a summary of sales dates thread in Misc which is the right place for it, Vibe and others regularly post summary threads for games in Misc - why should a summary of newspaper deals be different.......they are useful threads but the deals section isn't the place for it.

"But I want my rep, I want to see a deal go hot! My e-****, why won't you think of my e-****!"

That's for explaining what a summary meant.

How patronising - do you really think people don't know what a summary is?
After your crying Black Friday thread its obvious you want the heat from other peoples deals - what difference does it make who posts them as long as people do?
No offence meant and its great that you take the time to post, but it unfair if someone else does the work then you get the credit.
