Was in Morrisons yesterday to get my £40 shop and use my £25 off coupons. My total was £41.52, handed over the coupons - total to pay now £18.10! How that works I dont know - got manager over and he manually changed the price to the correct £16.52. Wonder if they have been making a sneaky extra couple pounds from everyone using the vouchers!

The other day I got the Terrys Choc Oranges, on buy 1 get 2 free, £2.75 each, went through til as 3 x £2.75 = £8.25 and at bottom of receipt the discount 'terrys choc - £4.40 discounted' which works out as 3 for £3.85! Another £1.10 robbing. Again I corrected at customer services.

Nearly every time in Morrisons!

Just a warning - check your receipt!

Thanks for pointing this out. Morrisons is right by my work, so I pop in there frequently for a quick shop on the way home & NEVER check my receipt, just in a hurry to get home! I will from now on. Cheers!

Thanks for the heads up I always check the item prices since being over charged by £20 once due to promotional items being on wrong shelves and other items in there place but I never check total to pay

My local Asda is always doing this they say one price at the shelves then charge a higher price at the tills.

No matter which supermarket, always check your receipt.

I've learned to check all the time now, I mainly use Asda and most of the time its ok but I will always get some price problem at least once a month, but the good thing with Asda is you can get the money back and they will give you a £2 gift card aswell, i've had a fair few of these.

Especially Tesco! I had to follow the cashier round the shop to get my 50p back for 2 for £3, 1 for £2 British ham!

This reminds me of the scamming trick I saw yesterday: 5kg Basmati rice for £12.99! And you need to buy TWO to get £5 high street vouchers! Now, if you buy them, you look like an idiot! But it is a trick to confuse your maths or NOT! However, I think Morrisons are quite genuine! But you have to look carefully at the quality! It's like shopping at Aldi and NOW at Tesco, the quality of the latter is actually worth shopping with Tesco than buying from the German company! My observations any way!

The OP is absolutely right. Morrison are the worst in pricing errors: offers that don't come off at the till, the price is wrong for an item, offer incorrectly deducted. Almost always one or two items that is wrong on the receipt and it's a pain to go the Customer Services for a £1 or two here and there. Sometimes, I just can t be bothered.

ALWAYS CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS AT MORRISONS.

Thanks OP.

I agree. I have an ongong issue with Morrisons. I mainly shop at Tesco online and occasionally have issues with this but Morrisons are the worse. I shop at Morrisons every few months and I go to Customer Services each time after checking my receipt on the way out. Yesterday there were 3 items not recognised as offers - £3 refund. Last time there were 3 items and this has happened approx 8 times (before that I didn't check). My parents also have the same problem (different city and store) but they don't go to Customer Services. I am beginning to think they do it deliberately. Customer Services just say 'oh sorry' when I explain it happens frequently. I even had a word with the store manager last year and he explained it could be the new till system (it's nothing to do with this). I email Customer Services on their site and get a standard response. It is so frustrating but I continue to visit occasionally because there are so many items I can get there but not elswhere. I have now started to put all the offers a the end of the till and put in a separate bag so easier to check and at Customer Services they always ask for the item so easier to find (occasionally I have had to empty nearly all my basket to find an item which just makes me so frustrated). Might be worth keeping a written record of the offers to as it's difficult to remember them all.

Taking a photo of offers with a phone camera is probably easier than writing them down. You have proof then too.

just as bad at asda. I'm sure they do it on purpose

Yes, op, I really fell out with Morrisons over being over-charged.. Ok, it was only £2, but their customer services tried to justify it by saying I'd have got it back in m+m!! So, in other words- the half price toothpaste and body wash I'd stocked up on on same shop could absorb the over-charge! Felt a bit daft emailing backwards and forwards over a couple of quid, and in the end, they gave me 5000 m+m points ( goodwill !) I don't do my big shops there any more.

went in there yesterday, they had an offer on for beers at 2 for £16,a shelf full of beer but in the middle were crates of beer not in the deal ,crying out for a cockup, and yes I got one on offer and one not,so was charged £20,luckily I checked and got refund and bought 2 on offer, when I asked why the non offer beer was mixed in I was told it is down to a plan and it has to go there.
