Completely agree - one of my favourite sci fi movies of all time.

Altho they were lucky to land Chiwetel Ejiofor as the bad guy - he steals the film completely. That guys is one of my fav actors now.

Great movie
Especially in Surround Sound, you get a constant rumble on the sub throughout the whole movie.

Have to agree, until that film just saw him as a pretty boy, just so many good parts in that film and could watch it again and again, never understood why so many people don't know it, maybe cos they dont get it?

Thought he was very good in Kalifornia too.

I'll think you'll find it was a box office failure only when it went to video (DVD) did it actually become acclaimed.

First, why do people post films that aren't 'underrated' in these threads?:?

Anyway, for a film that is properly underrated and I don't expect many people to have heard of is a film called Playing By Heart.

It's one of those 'intersecting stories' films set in LA with 4 different strands.

The best one features Angelina Jolie in one of her best roles. Also stars Sean Connery, Jon Stewart, Gillian Anderson and Dennis Quaid.

No, its not what you think you blooming pervs. A superb movie from the mid-nineties about a schizophrenic man whose life spirals into destruction. Peter Greene is incredible as the lead & its over far too quickly. Just brilliant!

I agree. I don't remember much advertising when this came out and watched it by chance.
I've watched it many times and still think its brill.

After Hours, a little known Scorcese film, absolutely brilliant.

Les Valseuses, an early Gerard Depardieu movie, just mental.
