woah! which TV/Radio channel was it mentioned on?! or is it the sainsbury thread that is so popular :giggle:
#2
I think it must be a combination of the Sainsburys thread, the cheap TVs at woolies threa, the amazon hellman's deal.... Going brilliant!!!
#3
Well I must admit, the Sainsbury's thread did bring me to here, I read thru all the posts, chose not to join the band wagon as I could see the disappointment at the end of it...and as I was so impressed with the site...I have jumped ships from another and am here to stay !! (sorry guys, you're lumbered with me now!)
#4
I'm sure you already know but hotdeals.com was named in the daily mirror today regarding the Sainsbury's deal. :p

Have you got a link or scanned story sintass ?

I can't find the story online, i'm going to try and scan the paper.

^^ thats the one :)

Now all we need is The Sun to mention it and HUKD will truly break...

It was struggling with 3300+ people browsing at lunchtime.

PS: Who is Joe Blackie? they have alot to answer for ;-)
#9
Amazing jump again :) Think most of us were away when that happened too :santa:

Thanks for The Mirror URL and story schizoboy :santa:

Wasnt struggling much this time Schizo ... in fact its fast at my end. BTW, I am desperate to know the Joe Blackie as well :-D
#12
Never heard of Joe Blackie either, perhaps he/she will reveal themselves in this thread at some point :santa:
#13
I can't scan the paper for some reason so here's a crappy pic. It's the same text as the web article:

was struggling, it's fine now, was fine all afternoon, long time to respond and timed out connections between 11:30pm-1pm but on and off, not throughout...

I was actually hoping we'd break 3.5k

If the Sainsburies fraudulent story is followed up HUKD might be mentioned in future.

What I wonder though is if HUKD/MSE/other bargain forums will be held more to account for exploiting (by merely spreading information not endorsing or otherwise) such errors on website systems, it would be a shame if Bliars facist state egomanicial fantasies were to reach HUKD imo.

The mysterious Joe Blackie!!!
#16
Here's another one I've just spotted in today's Telegraph:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2006/12/16/nsains16.xml

However, the codes were posted on money-saving websites such as hotukdeals.com, and when bargain-hunters tried all the codes together they found they all worked.

Joe Blackie's nowhere to be seen though...!
#17
And here:

http://www.morningadvertiser.co.uk/news_detail.aspx?articleid=25157

The codes, published on the hotukdeals.com, were only meant to be used once by regular customers but according to reports Sainsbury’s was hit by a flood of shoppers repeatedly using the same codes.

Wow, we're onto 2,400 already, peak time today could be fun, well, actually no, not fun at all, very slow methinks
#20
Doesn't seem slow to me, seems to be fine :)
#21
Sorry not slow, NOW, i mean later, it always peaks between 1pm and 2pm remember; now is sweet as a nut :)
#22
Oh, picked you up a bit wrong on that one :) SOzz.
#23
It's ok Em :)
But like i say, once folks do their dinner-time (can't call it lunch, sorry) browsing, and with all the publicity of late, it might get slow, but i could be wrong, again :)
