I don't think you can, you will need to take it to one of those guys with stalls in markets and shopping centres.

thought so, but was just trying to save a trip in to the city centre as my wife will end up wanting to go shopping at the same time8-) Oh well looks like my credit card will be getting a hammering again:cry:

it is possible but you need some idea plus software, have a read through here,i unlocked mine from t-mobile.

http://www.motox.info/showthread.php?t=4568

basically you need a bootloader, stock firmware and the motounlocker software, this will unlock and debrand, also installs save video .

what exactly did you do?.did you just run the unlocker if so this wont work you need to change bootloader and firmware.here is how i did it posted on motox.

first i changed my bootloader to 07.do using the scotty 2 downgrader,at first it said no need to downgrade.so i ran 8.26 bootloader replacer then ran scotty again.

then i updated to latest monster pack the one feb 20 06 http://www.planetmotox.net/monster_packs.php

then i downloaded and installed universal simlock remover
http://simlock.techgsm.com/simlock/u/download.php
and selected motorola
v80,v220,e380,c450,c650 unlocker ran it and hey presto phone is debranded and unlocked.the phone was locked to t-mobile but i put a vodafone sim and and it accepted it fine.

whether you actually need to downgrade bootloader i am not certain try it with either one.

when I try to open this site all I get is a blank page
http://simlock.techgsm.com/simlock/u/download.php
I open the unblocker it says it has worked but when I put in a Vodafone sime card it keeps asking for a SUBSIDIDY password

it will say that but wont work until you change to stock firmware get the monster pack from the link.if your bootloader is 8.26 you will need to downgrade following instructions in my post.

here is a link for downgrader files

http://www.uploading.com/files/RFAYGNB0/RAZR_V3_unlocking_kit.rar.html

in steps it works like this

run 8.26 bootloader replacer
run scotty 2
install monsterpack(scroll down to razr vw uploadd feb 20 06 stock moto)
run the unblocker.

i was on vodafone and i had an o2 chip i wanted to put in, i rang vodafone and they gave me the instructions as to what to do, including the subsidy password, i'd been with them a few years so maybe this is why, although i don't understand why they let me to unlock my fone to all networks ?? But it worked anyway :)

Anyone know how to put the V3 on silent/meeting mode?
For nokia I could chose profiles but having trouble with V3. So far I've had to put volume on 0.
I'm missing my Nokia now. V3 has no voice and video recorder and stopwatch/timer (or maybe they are there and can't find them :giggle: )

try reading the manual ?

ryoooh
try reading the manual ?

For your information, that's what I did first.

and for those who can help and have a V3:
The only way I've seen is to lower the volume to 0 for silent. If I want total silence, I have to go change the sms as well.
What I'm looking for is a function to chose a profile (vol and sms to 0). Is there a particular way you put everything on silent?

hi
to put my phone on silent while I am at work I use the silver button on the top left hand side of the phone then navigate to the silent mode with the smaller button underneath (this is done while the phone is closed )
the v3 does have a voice recorder in the extras section
hope this helps

thanks for that
found it and working fine. I'm still learning how to use it properly after 3 months. :giggle: I've been a Nokia person for 6yrs and only reason I changed for V3 is because it's slim and fits in my bag and pocket :-D
