Motorola W377 - Get yours unlocked remotely cheap! (Applies to almost all motorola phones)

I've found that you can get them unlocked (via IMEI) here - http://www.remoteunlocker.com/shop/index.php?target=products&product_id=1

However it's £10 per IMEI, but they DO do a wholesale policy...

Amount 2+ 5+ 10+
Price £6.99 £5.99 £4.99

As you can see if we order 10 unlocks then the price HALVES, which is worth it. I dont want to have to spend money needlessly, and i doubt anyone else does.

PM me if your interested, i suppose you could PM me the IMEI and then when we have 10 people (or more) you could PayPal me the money, i buy it and then PM you the codes.

of course if i'm too much of a n00b to be trusted someone else could be in charge of the monies.

This works remotely (ie you get the code and input it yourself) so you dont need to leave the house, and this applies to most Motorola phones (supported list in the link above), however each code will only work on ONE phone, and you need to know the IMEI number of the phone (a special number that identifies the phone - found on the back behind the battery)

And i have no idea about how much you'd need to pay to get over PayPal fees, but i have no intention of making money off this (but it'd be nice lol).

EDIT - THE PRICE IS £5.37 THANKS TO PAYPAL FEES. PM ME YOUR EMEI NUMBERS PLEASE.

Ok, we now have 3 orders, we need 7 more people to come up and want to do this to get the £4.99 rate.

You WILL need to know the IMEI number to do this (which means having the phone on and charged).

EDIT - Just checked the other thread, 5 code requests so far so we actually need 5 more to get the cheaper rate - any more than that is fine, but it wont drive the price down.

In a wholly selfish mood I wont be doing this until i know my own IMEI number (Phone should turn up tonight)

Sorry to triple post, but here goes...

I've had a look at my Motorola (albeit a different model), the IMEI is located behind the battery on a little sticker. You will NOT need to use the phone or charge it or anything, but it'll require you to break the security seal on the box (which means that you wont be able to say "Sealed in box" if your aiming to sell it on eBay.

The IMEI can be found on the sticker attached to the box - we've a couple sat here (no quidco tracking for either of us).

However, if you don't break the seal on the box then how are you going to unlock the handset so that it can be advertised as "unlocked"?
#4
Ok, thanks.

Another person wants to do it, so we just need 4 more people to want to do this.
#5
In the actual thread, someone posted a link where it cost £3/4, might be worth having a look there.
#6
I am in.If you will have me (No one else will. AH!). Message sent
IMEI number can be shown by dialing *#06# on phone.
#7
Ok, thanks. 3 more people need to request theres. It'd be nice if you could PM me your IMEI numbers so that when we get 10 people all you'll need to do is pay and then i can order them.

Count me in.

That makes 8 people then. 2 more and i can order the codes (which i'll then PM to you).

To know your IMEI you can look at the top of the box on the "IMEI: xxxxx" line.

This is gonna sound really stupid - but once i have the code what do i do with it?

EDIT - Just to make this clear, i am NOT part or affialited with the website, i'm just a HUKD'er who wants to save some cash.

It seems every time i make a post suddenly the infomation changes - now i have 9 people down, just need one more. If you haven't already sent me your IMEI then please do, i'll wait until i've got them all and everyone is "ready" before i ask for payment.

(Anyone know anything about PayPal fees? I'd rather not have you all send me 4.99 for the code and then end up out of pocket thanks to PayPal fees!)

PayPal fees are 3.4% + 20p per transaction so I make that 18p + 20p = 38p
So everyone needs to send £5.37 to balance out the fees

As I'm buying 2 codes thats an extra £5.17 (4.99 + 18p)so I need to pay £10.54 in total

I knew that Maths A level would come in use one day! :-D
#12
Hi, are you still looking for more people? I had mine delivered this morning and need it unlocked.....
#13
Yup. That means we have 10 people so far, i now need EMEI numbers from all of you (will PM reminders).

Anyone else that wants to get in on this, PM me your EMEI numbers NOW!

The price is £5.37, which is £4.99 + £0.38 PayPal fees. I am not making ANY money off this!
#14
Why don't you just ask people to send you the paypal money along with their IMEI numbers. That way, you can keep track easier and know exactly who are really interested.
#15
Because if i have to wait for person X to send me the money or IMEI (keep forgetting the acronym) while i have £45 and lots of IMEI's i'm going to **** a lot of people off.

I'm asking for the IMEI now for this exact reason.

How are we coming along everyone replied yet?

Everyone has given me the IMEI but chamelion. If anyone else wants to get in on this then drop me a PM.
#18
We need someone else as one has not sent required information contact Jakg by pm
#19
Apparently chamelion is getting the phone delivered tomorrow AM so no IMEI yet, hence the delay

Why don't you PM the owner of the site, who seems to be another HUKD member? SE K800i Marshall Ward deal sound familiar? :whistling:

It is his site we are getting the people together for. The more people the cheaper as it is £10 each for one phone and £5 each for ten
#21
Looks like i'll need to wait 'till Chamelions phone turns up before we can go ahead, once i have his IMEI i'll ask for the moneyz.

I'm also doing research to see if i can find it any cheaper anyhwere else.

There are discount codes?

Whats his username?

PS - http://tinyurl.com/2292r9 - might just massively undercut our bulk buy scheme :X
#23
Im interested in getting my W377 unlocked. Are you still going ahead with the bulk order?
#24
Hi - found this in another thread. If you use Discount code DWORLD at Remoteunlocker, you get £5 off so brings the cost down to £4.99. Just ordered mine!
#25
I guess its worth doing 2 at a time with that voucher as it brings the cost down to £4.49 each
#26
Hi guys,

Are we still going through with the bulk purchase?
#27
After finding out the information on the dicount codes etc i've given up. All of your IMEI codes are deleted as frankly you get just as good a deal anywhere else.

Sorry this is such a failure. I tried!

Hi guys,

I got an unlock code from remoteunlocker.

The phone prompts me to type in the subsidy password, which i enter. Then it displayes SIM Unlocked but goes back to the enter subsidy password screen.

Has anyone experienced anything similiar?

Cheers

The firmware on the phone is not acknowledging the unlock process which could mean it will have to be done with cable and software.

I used to do this type of remote unlocking in the summer last year when i had access to the server. £7 i charged for 1 unlock.

Thanks. Its odd the remote unlock didn't work, apparently it's worked for quite a few people on this forum. Do you think the phone is faulty?
#33
Just to say I ordered 2 unlock codes from remoteunlocker and they both worked fine.

Anyone ordered via ebay and had delivery ?

How long does he take ?

I ordered several days ago and have received sweet FA. They do not reply to emails going to ask my CC for a chargeback.

Should have paid the extra and used colins site. At least he is honest and reliable. This ebay lot are a bunch of idiots.
