Move = Wii with better graphics.
Kinect - a webcam which you dance in front of.

I don't really see the appeal of either on the specs and stuff, but there was a Kinect thread and people said it was a lot of fun.

I had Move and loves Sports Champions but the reviews of the move games have been poor. I sold it on and now have Kinect and love it but it's all down to personal taste.

Do you have any mates with either that you can try out for yourself?

I'd say this is the best way to answer your question.

I believe both systems are set-up back-to-back for direct comparison in the Best Buy store at West Thurrock, Essex.

Maybe other (Best Buy) stores as well.

Perhaps the PlayStation House [ http://www.playstationhouse.co.uk ] tour will be near you soon if you are not close enough to a Best Buy store.

Thanks for your reply . I was swayed for kinect as it looked like it might be better for young children as well but just the space issue concerned me so started to look at the move and that looked quite good....confused now .

No one i know has either of these , im a fair way from the local shops to have a look as well .

My boys are young and they have found that Kinect is much easier to use and more fun. With Move they saw it as the same as their Wii and nothing different but with Kinect they love the fact it's all controller free and they even play together nicely for a change. lol

Ooh..... I'll have to nip into Best Buys at Thurrock then!

Are these likely to sell out or have MS made enough to go round for Crimbo?

kinect without a shadow of a doubt!

I had my reservations and wasn't going to get it after hearing mixed reviews about it not picking you up etc. My brother got it on Saturday and we went round and had a shot and by god it was good. Spot on, great for any age, my dad played it (50's) we played it (late 20's), the kids played it (eight) and the dog played it (2 subject to dog years)

It picked up our every move, providing you were 6 feet a way, (i think the move has a similar space requirement).

I advise calling first to make sure this is still the case. If stock is unavailable they may have removed the display temporarily.

The images going through my mind right now are confusing, scary yet ultimately funny.

Enjoy.....i'm sure you will :)

The Kinect hardware is more interesting, but Move seems better tailored to the type of games I prefer to play. However I doubt I will be getting either unless the PC community manages to create some interesting mods to existing titles using Kinect.

You should get Kinect Sports, better the Kinect Adventures imo

Simple question - Do you have AT LEAST 6-8 feet of space from the TV free? If not, I would strongly advise avoiding Kinect based on what I've read - the required space is not a suggestion.

Go to a nearby Comet or Tesco they have them out so you can test em.

I Love Kinect...

Given the games that are due for release on both platforms, my preference would be the Move. Shooters look awesome (SOCOM).

Kinect is the obvious choice. There's no decent games on the Move and the promising ones will be better suited to joypads.

Kinect Arrived today , Superb isnt it . Thought space was going to be an issue but was fine . Extremely impressed with it . Now I have to put it away untill christmas for the little ens :/ .

Thanks for your opinions people.
