After owning an iphone, I can't see myself moving to a different handset.
Has anyone recently moved from the iphone?
If so, which make?

Looking for suggestions please as I'm bored of the iphone.
Thanks

prob gonna get shot down in flames by people who don't know what they're talking about, but the windows mobile 6.5 HTC HD2 is a great phone, i'm absolutely chuffed with mine, got it on a years contract for 40 quid a month, bargain for such a short contract and such a highly featured phone

Got a Palm Pre and loving it now with the latest update!
Especially since you can get VBA on it now. GB/GBA games = w00t!

Not much I can say about the hd2 as only used for a day or 2 but better than the iPhone IMO.

I think I would be going for a Blackberry, it would need to be as good as and quite similar to the iPhone. Before the iPhone, I used to change my phone every couple of months, but now I have the iPhone, I have had it since launch

the comments from the porter are fair enough, except you can simply use windows mobile 6.5 and then when the times comes, change the OS to some other version that the nice people on XDA developers are coming up with, all the time.

had my hd2 almost a month now, absolutely thrilled with it.

my girlfriend, who has been so wanting an iphone, is now seriously considering getting the hd2 because she can see just how useable and simple it is, plus excellent social networking abilities, plus far, far, far cheaper to buy than an apple. the only thing putting her off is it is a bit bigger than an iphone so she may opt for something smaller.

me? if i used an iphone now it would make me think, "wow, what a small and low resolution screen"

my friend who had both the 2G and 3G iPhone ended up going for a Blackberry 9700 Bold. This was only because his iPhone was knackered with calls cutting out on him, and the screen had a chunk knocked out of it when he dropped it. He went onto simplicity before, but then got a blackberry as he needed a new handset and didn't want to pay for another iPhone contract.

rule the hd2 out its on win mo for a start its not getting the 7 upgrade so will be dead in november wait for the supersonic if you want the big big screen but on android ,or the n1 or desire which ever you can get hold off they are very much the same apart from 2 mics for noise and sence on the other but you can run the rom on the n1 :thumbsup:and the legend out as well its a hero in disguise

wow their range is as worse as the 911 range. :whistling:
think i'll have to wait after next month until the other 2 come out.
when is the supersonic due? november?

love my htc hd2. windows mobile 6.5 with the sense ui is first class. Hasn't crashed yet on me, needed no restarts. Only one thing the apple has over the htc hd2, the app store. Otherwise hd2 out performs it in nearly every aspect.

HTC Desire. Uses Android, has a nice marketplace with apps for most things you'd want to do. There's nowhere near as many games right now as there are for iPhone, but there's definitely loads on the way.

The Desire (HTC branded) and Nexus (Google branded) are pretty much the same phone, except the Desire comes with HTC Sense, which is basically a nicer UI, customisable homescreens and a few applications and widgets. The Sense UI becomes comparable to the iPhone and on the Desire it works really well because it's such a fast phone.

Also, the HTC Keyboard is awesome, though I've been using Swype recently which also works really well.

I've got an iPhone and a HTC Hero, I should be getting a Desire soon too. I prefer Android handsets just because there's so much possibility with them. I know iPhones are easier to use, but that's because they're so restricted in terms of what you can control.
