Lol I thought he was doing a good job :P
#5
why was he even appointed in the first place??? as a west brom fan he was hardly a success for us:thinking:
one thing for sure it wasn't for his personality:-D
#6
more time and money and I'm sure he'd have been able to fend off united and motherwells charge for second.
#7
I reckon he should be rafa's replacement :D
#8
he was rebuilding basically a whole new team ,should have been given another season, hes been forced out by idiot fans that have never really played the game

so what now someone else comes in and changes team again?? or keeps them and gets the sucsess mowbry would have got anyway
#9
according to clyde Neil lennon will be interim manager. (that'll keep the fans happy for a few weeks anyway)
#10
gotta go and try and get paul lambert now best man for the job

I was a supporter of his for a long time but he crippled the team by getting rid of so many players and a lot of the time the players he brought in weren't as good as the ones he got rid of

And have you even watched the team you support? He won the league and got West Brom promoted even if they were religated the next year :whistling:

To be fair to him he was their 3rd choice for the job after coyle and martinez turned them down.

even if he was rebuilding a team a 4-0 humping from st mirren is unforgivable, he also lost some first team players to a championship side in middlesboro kinda says it all really as well as being beaten in the old firms

i've never seen such a terrible side in a good number of years, as a fan outwith the old firm (Dundee United) i don't think anyone fears Celtic at the moment

There are still loads who fear Celtic but they are all celtic fans fearing the next result. I'm dreading semi againist Ross County as it has potential to be an even bigger embarrassment then the pumping by St Mirren

I wonder who they will have next, might as well write this season off now and take their time getting a real manager in.

Living in Birmingham I always thought it a bit of a weird appointment taking a manager from a club that had got the Albion relegated, hardly a good record is it?

Question is who wants to go and manage in Scotland these days, the football is rapidly nosediving into a joke.

totally agree with you like i said befre it kinda shows where scottish football is when players are snubbing celtic to go play in the championship

brilliant comments, who now? Half a season to change a team. Ashamed at how fickle celtic fans have been lately. They wanted GS out too, 3 titles in 4 seasons.
#20
But it's not as if Celtic were progressing slowly and the evidence was there to say things would change.

The team was getting worse if anything, clubs have to act quick in this climate. Could you honestly see next season being any better under Mowbray.

Yep, the scottish leagues are a joke in my mind. Even people like Paul lambert has said that he has no ambition to manage in it due to the lack of compeitition.

I don't disagree entirely with your point but I wouldn't take the word of paul lambert who done so well when he managed up here.

I think mowbray has clearly stated he will only play one way and wont compromise his beliefs-when he was at west brom they played some attractive football, same at hibs(my team)-he just didnt seem to be able to get it going at celtic-maybe the fans would have given him more time if they were playing nice football.

I watched him last night with his head in his hands in the dugout and kinda thought we would be seeing this announcement today.Lennon might actually do a good job and end up getting it full time.

To be honest, I was saying the same thing up until last nights' result. I thought he should have been given until the end of the season to change the team, and then be judged on next season's performances. However, I've changed my mind after last night. No Celtic team should be getting beaten by a St Mirren side that couldn't even score a goal against 9 men on Sunday, much less a 4 goal humping. Yeah, Mowbray was changing the team, but look at the quality of player he had at his disposal compared to St Mirren. Having said that, those players (his players) aren't even that good to begin with. N'Guemo? Ki? Braafheid? Not good enough imo.

It's a shame, as I actually like TM as a person, and I like his ideas as to how football should be played. Unfortunately tho, he just isn't a very good manager.....
