MP3 Player info

Anyone know of a MP3 player that will restart at the place it is turned off instead of at the beginning of track? I need one for books, so don't want to start at the beginning or fast forward each time. Also, I am not keen on ipods.:)
I'm not requesting a pointer to a deal here, just a recommendation.

Thanks for that. I have a few players that don't do this, hence my question.
no probs

and Sony Ericsson phones.

Thanks:) ... but I can't be doing with iPods, and if I bring another mobile phone into the house I won't live long enough to use it:oops:
What's wrong with ipods?

Don't you have to use the dedicated software to get MP3s onto one? I just want to transfer files without extra programs.
the sandisk range is good as an alternative to ipods, personaly I've got an ipod classic which I'm happy with but my dad has the sandisk view which you can drag & drop files on from a PC.
get a zen stone from morrisons for a tenner - that'd sort out your audio stuff at least until you can figure out which path to go down for a player with a screen

i love my little zen, it has a speaker too so don't always have to use phones
Only itunes but tbh who has a load of mp3's on their PC that aren't in a music library everyone has them all in software anyway so I don't see why so many people bitch about it, itunes is really good anyway.

horses for courses

i knpow a fair bit about computers and all the rest of it and i've tried i-tunes

i gave it a fair crack of the whip but i didn't like it at all - too restrictive for me

some people love it - some people hate it - just like windows/apple debate
