For some reason in MS Outlook I get copies of emails i send out in my inbox. Its almost like my sent items getting copied into my inbox.

Apart from setting up a rule to direct emails with my name (in the sender) to a separate folder I havent been able find a solution to this problem.

Never seen this before.

Firstly I would try disabling that rule again and see if that cures it.

You could also try recreating your Outlook profile (exporting all of your current messages etc as a backup first). If you are using Outlook with an Exchange server then no need to backup as all items will be downloaded again.

Has this always happened or just started recently? If recent, what has changed? New software etc?

Also, what versions of Windows, Outlook etc?

I had windows xp, then windows 7 and both times setup MS outlook. it still seems to happen. the rule isnt in place now so the emails are piling up in my inbox.

Wow, cool, sorted it.

It was in the advanced email options. You can exlude you inbox which seemed to be the problem.

Wish I could give you thanks (like you can on othe forums).
