Ok so I list my item on ebay and it sells a few days ago, but the buyer emails says they are having paypal problems and it could take upto a week for them to sort it out.

I am concerned because on the buyers feedback they bought another laptop on the 29th Nov and then mine on the 1st Dec. They have very good feedback (700+ 100% positive) but something smells fishy to me. They say they it could be until end of the next week until their paypal account gets sorted and if it takes too long I can relist the item at cost to them.....however I am worried that get the end of next week nobody may buy my item as so close to xmas.....

Also bit worried if I cancel now and re list they may leave me neg feedback :|

Any advice much appreciated....

It does sound as if the buyer does not want it now. Email him and say you cannot wait for the money and would prefer to relist it now. If he does not want it he will be happy to get out of the sale. I do not think he would then leave negative but if he does you would have to just accept that. (I have just had my first after over 2000 sales and he was a scammer!!)
If you do relist make sure that you claim back the fee that Ebay would have already added to your seller account. Good luck.

Dear twitterers,

Hello,

If I had the necessary information with me (and PINsentry) this would be fine, however I cannot use this facility for about a week.

I am sorry about this, though think Sellers usually give Buyers a few days to pay don't they? Not that I ever delay. Also PP does protect both parties I think. This said, If transfer becomes possible first I shall of course ask for your details.

As said, if you wish to cancel the transaction I will understand and when weather is better will pop the fee for same in the post to you.

I cannot apologize enough about this and, as said before, I always pay immediately. Additionally I shall not be clicking any BIN buttons until this sorted!

With warm wishes,

xxxxxx

Dont know what PINsentry has got to do with this, you just need that to transfer money..etc. Paypal can take the money directly out from his bank acc without any fees so sounds like he doesnt want the item so nothing to be worried about in my opinion, if his in UK.

Yes shes from the UK, I thought I can open a NPB until day 8?

May call her and say I am relisting, worried i'll miss out on Xmas shoppers at this rate if I wait till next Friday and she may not even buy it!

think it is just another example of how the new feedback system is no help to sellers - i avoid listing on ebay now as it is just way to much hassle

good luck op

We all know have click happy Paypal are on restricting accounts, whether it be receiving too much money. having the wrong IP or just looking a bit dodgy. They can also take an age to sort out problems. I would have gave them the benefit of the doubt.

I think my buyer just changed her mind, I cancelled it and she left me feedback (+ve) and vice versa. She was very happy judging by her feedback!
mumbojumbo
I'm about to do exactly the same.
I'm going to block the buyer too, sabz.

My buyer made a low Best Offer Bid, then got my phone number through Ebay. They rang unexpectedly to get the selling price lowered, to which I agreed (had had a few after dinner drinks!) and sent them a counter-offer. They accepted the offer and instead of paying immediately for a "Buy It Now", they said they'd pay at the end of the week. Friday comes and they now say it will have to be next Friday, as Paypal payment from a bank account was not instant. This person has 280+ feedback - surely they know how Paypal works! The idiot has left dozens of missed calls on my phone too - so angry at Ebay for giving out my phone number!

I did also notice she had left feedback for a item (almost same model as my laptop but cheaper) today! Cheeky!
