Okay my mtu setting was at 0 and my tcp was set at 1400. I had ridiculously low upload speeds, got results back as low as 0.001mbps. Download speeds are fine though got around 20 mb/s. Now what I did was I put tcp setting to 0 too. My upload has now increased to 0.69mb/s. But I've heard mtu should be at 1400, but it will not let me put it as 1400. What number does tcp have to be set at to get mtu to 1400.

MTU depends on your ISP.

Once upon a time, there was a little cottage named talktalk. They had this brilliant package for a bargain and I decided to grab hold and never let go.

I'm with talk talk at home, I think they're fantastic, I get 8 meg on ADSL or 18.5meg on ADSL2+. I leave my MTU on Auto.

Try ask on here:

Alright thanks badass. Appreciate it. Btw what package are you on, essentials or pro?

Essential (with the anytime UK calls boost), I moved out in September and they didn't do Pro back then, but I can get 24meg for an extra £4 anyway, and I don't download over 40gig, I'm at uni most the time anyway though and have 20meg unlimited there. So now home is on essentials with 8 meg as thats all my mum and sister need for just browsing. I'm on an older package though (my talk talk), so I get free 0845/0870 calls and free calls 24/7 to 40 countries and free calls 24/7 to uk landlines.

Oh nice, that's some pretty good call services you got

Yeah I've been with them since either Feb 2004 or 2005 can't remember which. But I just stay on the old package until a new good one comes, atm I recon I've got one of the best out there. When I first joined it was £18 a month just for 512 broadband without line rental or anything and that was the cheapest of all the companies! How times have changed.

Haha, I know looking back then, crappy speeds cost so much.

It won't let me enter 1432. It says tcp has to be between this n that figure, but the error message makes no sense to me.
