About £600 on both kids each.
#7
Father Christmas usually spends £300 each
#8
I wonder what the difference is in how much you think you spend and how much you actually spend.

I would say it's at least 50% more than what you think.

Yes and thats why I dont mind spending that amount - plus because years ago after my marriage ended I didnt have much money and so now I am really proud that I can spend that much

Oh I forgot you have your cleaning biz dont you xx

My kids generally get about 500 each ( have 4 ) but that's not a figure cast in stone... I wouldnt do it if I couldn't afford it and I don't think its the money that's important at all xx

This yr all the girls will have are their laptops and the usual new things they get like shoes, clothes, PJs teddies, music, DvDs books etc xx Just things that make their lives more homely really xx

I remember one birthday when my 15 yr old was ... I think she was going to be 2 as I was pregnant with my 12 yr old and we only had about a fiver to get her a pressie so I made her lots of little play figures etc... it's easy to make the money stretch a lil further when you have to xxx

Sorry to hear about your job hunni, hope you find summin soon, theres often lil things you can get in the run up to christmas that might help xxx

dont hold your breath though lol!

My eldest works and I had to make a point this birthday of entirely overlooking any presents for him as he NEVER buys for his sisters and he doesnt have to do anything with his wage other than buy his own alcohol.

I find xmas awfully hard as my children already have lots of toys etc... i buy them both new things everyweek so when it comes to xmas they norammly have everything......

I normally would buy them 3 outfits each they get but really nice expensive ones so that cost me about £400 but they arent really presents as much even if i do wrap them up.

So on toys and bits and bobs about £200-£300 each

But your babes are still really young arent they hun... its different when they're that much older and eager to see what Santa brings xx

and then different again when they know exactly what materialism is all about and how to work mums and dads heartstrings lol xxx

I know exactly how you feel as was once in that position and its upsetting, but your children wont care about the cost - just the fact that santa has been.

Dont get down as your kids will just have the happy memories of another great christmas.

Things will definitely get better for you - they really will

i to would say the same, when it was just my daughter i went ott, although she never had throughout the year so come xmas i went ott, but then son came along and i started buying through the year and less ott at xmas

When my children where small, they got £20.00 spent on them at christmas.(main present)
Bulked it up with colouring books, crayons, tissue paper, card, glue, etc. I think they had more fun out of the odds and sods.
They are now 35 and 27.
It doesn't matter now,if I spend £20.00 or £500.00, they often talk about their great christmas's, from when they were little.
Your little ones will enjoy it and love whatever you get them.

Opposite here xx

My ex-husband will buy ... actually he buys the boys heaps especially the youngest whereas I generally think more about the girls, but then I think more in terms of day-to-day what do they NEED like tights, sanitary towels etc... no man would dream of buying those things lol xx
