Music organisation help

At the moment I have a music folder which is all sorts of disorganised. Some folders are named by Artist, some by Album, some by date. Which is madness.

What I really want is;

Adele > 21 > {tracks}
19 > {tracks}

etc. etc.

Is there an easy way of doing this? Like therenamer does with movie/tv shows?

Will be a mighty pain in the bum to do it manually

Cheers

Pardon?

Throw it all into iTunes, if you let iTunes organise your music it does it in that exact fashion.

Thanks, would it matter that the files are located on a server? i.e not where iTunes would be installed

oh, it would probably try and copy it to a local directory.

Is the server a home server?
#6
Yea, suppose i could install iTunes on it, but think it would struggle tbh,

MediaMonkey used to have a rename function...

Haven't used it for years though :(

you should be able to do it from the computer. Just set the itunes home directory to your server and it should copy across anything put into the library.
