Why do South Park keep doing this? Didn't they have an episode like this a few years ago?

Are Matt Stone and Trey Parker really stupid?

south park isnt as consistently funny as it used to be,but they still have some great episodes-parker and stone say what they want and dont seem to care who they offend-freedom of speech and all that.

these muslim radicals are nutters who deserve to be ridiculed, unfortunately however these kind of statements have to be taken seriously in light of previous events.

will be interesting to see what happens when "four lions" gets released.

"Are Matt Stone and Trey Parker really stupid?"

Stupid? yeah probably and really really funny, If muslim groups have taken offence, so what? they have no sense of humour, south park rips every religion, every minority, basically everyone! so that makes it fair! right? lol
#10
Good on them I'm glad there's still people out there who aren't scared of getting fatwahed. No religion should impose it's deluded beliefs on others, I say no religion but lets be honest the only religion there is ever a problem with is islam, what right do they have to question the morality of none muslim countries.:x
#11
they've covered alot religions, tis funneh, don't like don't watch it.

The warning hardly gives credibilityy to the peaceful teachings of Islam by posting a picture of the dutch film maker who was shot and stabbed. Way to go, to support your cause well done, idiots.
#12
They are just standing up for their beliefs, Freedom Of Speech.
They showed Muhammed on the show years ago and there wasnt any hassle, then it all blows up and they arent allowed.
Everyone else has the pee ripped out of them, why should Muslims be any different and have to threaten people.

Thats like me rounding up my fellow gingers and bombing Matt and Trey for taking the pee out of us lol
Huzzah
(away to get last nights episonde now :D )

I saw this on CNN yesterday in Singapore with some extremist Muslim nutcase arguing calling for their heads.

Why is it always Muslims who react in this way and make threats of violence? They take the pee out of anything and everything.. and good... its funny. Shame they cant just get moderated and told "if you don't like the show, don't watch it."

They are both comical geniuses. There comedy is hilarious and they ridicule everyone, from whatever background.

Good for them I say, in a time where people are to scared to make jokes about certain things, because of threats of death and terrorism, they go ahead and do it anyway.

A Muslim never taunts or curses or abuses nor resorts to vulgar talking.

Do not reproach or abuse dead persons for they are facing the consequences of what they had done in this world.

Make things easy and convenient and don't make them harsh and difficult. Give cheers and glad tidings and do not create hatred

im not a south park fan myself but good on em i say,i bet all reasonable thinking Muslims get really embarrassed by these extremists acting so pathetically yet again.........
#19

Why not ?

It's funny how a couple of radicals set up a website, and then become the voice of a religion. Clearly they are deluded if they wish death on someone, yet the spotlight is still focussed on them. They don't deserve the attention they are getting.
#24
do muslims watch South Park then?

Dunno. It's rare that I ever see anyone condemn these sort of people. In fact more often than not, people seem to sympathise, which leads me to draw the conclusion I have.

I think the point is that as a rule, the physical embodiment of Mohammed is forbidden in the eyes of Muslims, and any representation can have dire consequences.

Funny really when you think all religion is a man made concept.

Comedy Central actually censored a lot of the concluding episode of this story which aired in the US last night. All instances of the word 'Muhamad' (sp) were bleeped (they weren't in the first episode) and then the entire 'I learned something today' section at the end was entirely bleeped over. I was unsure at first whether that was deliberate, but it seems not:

A statement from Matt and Trey:

In the 14 years we've been doing South Park we have never done a show that we couldn't stand behind. We delivered our version of the show to Comedy Central and they made a determination to alter the episode. It wasn't some meta-joke on our part. Comedy Central added the bleeps. In fact, Kyle's customary final speech was about intimidation and fear. It didn't mention Muhammad at all but it got bleeped too. We'll be back next week with a whole new show about something completely different and we'll see what happens to it.

Some people are saying the episode has been removed from the Comedy Central UK schedule for tomorrow night, but there appear to be two episodes of 'New South Park' at 10.30pm, according to their website.

They take the p*ss out of how you can't say anything about mohammed and added all the censor things, and made a joke of it, wasn't this the orientation of the episode ? Think they're hardly going to care about a extremist minority having a fuss. No matter who you are, one episode of south park will make a joke about you, you don't see anyone else complaining though do you

would you have said the same if they had made jokes about 7/7 or 9/11? since they dont care who they offend and believe in freedom of speech.

it doesnt take the ****, its a sensitive subject that will cause offence then its rightly been censored, it shouldnt have been allowed in the first place.

It's comedy is offensive, they have not just singled out Muslims here, they take the mick out of everything, everyone all the time, that's why it's so funny no holds barred.

But this is the point, only now has a group of select people taken offense, you can't really comment on SP and it's content in context, as it's offensive comedy.

It reminds me of the readers of The Daily Mail and Russel Brand and Jonathan Ross, people who had never listened to their show, or got their style, all decided due to the outcry they would watch, or look into the details of said incident to go out of their way to jump on the offended bandwagon.

Up till then I always thought of RB as a bit of an idiot, after watching his stuff though (due to the 'incident') I think he's pretty funny. No publicity is bad publicity, so they say

Given that the same episode has Buddha snorting huge lines of coke (:-D)and nobody has said anything about that, it kinda goes to show that not everyone feels the need to make death threats every time a deity is joked about.

Hilarious! :-D
