Is this possible? No one can here me though I can hear incoming calls. There is no new icon on the front screen to suggest I have muted it but could I have muted it in error or do you thnk the microphone has just gone? Thanks

It really helps if you say what kind of something you have, rather than just saying "my something". But, yeah - my general advise is that it's possible to mute yourself by pushing the mute button, although this doesn't normally stick for all calls, and it can probably be ruled out as an issue by plugging a hands-free kit in, for which mute would probably still apply.

I'd try a full reset of the phone. After that, maybe a warranty repair. The little microphones in these things are sometimes held to the circuit board by pressure alone, so a knock, or a hefty slinging against a wall, can break the connection. Tricky little buggers, so they are.
