Lol, take a look at BF3 :)

Shouldn't it be "MJ9...........HOLY CRAP!"

Nothing new, still the same old Call of Duty, looks the same as any other. Over hyped game as always. BF3 will be far better but as always CoD will out sell it.

Everything in that video and the other E3 video has been done before in previous CoD's.

got to admit, that i do like the MW 1&2 campaign, found it better than BF:BC 1&2, but these games are for online and this is where BF3 will kick its ass

I think that bf3 looks good. Even without seeing much mw3 trailers or gameplay i'm looking forward to that more to be honest. I think new blood could well produce the goods for me.

Didn't enjoy Bfbc 2. Much prefered Cod 4 mw. Played Mw2 more than any of them (playing time). And there is still nearly 100,000 people playing it on xbox live some weekends. Which for a two year old game is pretty phenomenal.

Didn't enjoy Black Ops at all. Think the only thing it has over Mw1/2 is the zombies. That gets more peeps on than the Multiplayer.
Blops felt too much like Waw which i didn't enjoy much.

But suppose with everything, its horse's for course's eh?

same old! BF3 looks to have moved on tho.

MW for me. Seems the cool kiddies have adopted the least popular of the two to bang on about, as they do.

Yay, yet another generic call of duty games, same crap with a few new weapons and maps.

BFBC2 isn't even a real battlefield game and is no comparrison at all. You console kids have yet to have a real BF game released. It will blow your minds (Even though BF3 will probably be fairly poor like BF2 was when comparred to BF1942).

Don't you have a Wii?
#13
I'll still be buying it regardless of the hate.
#14
nice! it actually looks fun to play unlike battlefield.
#15
dcx_badass consoles will always be proper gaming platforms as long as they have exclusive games.

Yes but I don't pretend it's a proper gaming platform unlike the PS360 kids.

thats funny because PC's were not built for gaming, consoles are.
whats your definition of a "proper gaming platform"?
95% piracy and 97% servers filled with cheaters?
you fail.

PC gaming glory days are well over I'm afraid.

MW3 and BF3 will be purchased, played and enjoyed - although, based on past experience, MW will get a LOT more multiplayer time for me - BFBC2 was very good, but got boring once you unlocked everything, and then the camping became ultra rife... CoD always has pace and keeps it interesting.

As for console vs PC - my view is that a PC has to be constantly upgraded = pricey - a console is bought once and used continuously for every game until the next generation with excellent graphics. Simples to me.

nail - head

PC gaming days will soon be over. Not worth them releasing on pc, too easy to type in google "*game name* torrent" then open with utorrent.

Job done

To be fair though you can do the same with the consoles.

In the Cod Vs BF stand off i've always been in the Cod camp but I've got to say this time around Battlefield looks like it's going to be better.

Blimey, games aren't out yet and the debate has started already and yes i said BF3 FTW, anyways BF3 does look the mutts nutts but that is the pc version, i'm waiting for the console version before the final judgement
#26
PC graphics far outstrip consoles, but agreed your constantly shelling out to keep your desktop machine up to spec.
#27
People with real friends game on consoles.

I intend to. I'm not saying i'm "switching camps" (i wouldnt actually consider myself as a fanboy of either) i'm just saying i can see myself for the first time enjoying a battlefield game over a cod game after looking at footage from both

People with real friends go out and get laid (_;)

Call of Duty hasnt been good since Call of Duty 1 on the PC, back then it brought in so many new ideas to the FPS genre.
Now its just the same thing every year.
#31
Looks the same as Black Ops... Which looks the same as MW2.
CoD has the Fifa (well now the PES) Bug of coming out with a new game every year and changing pretty much nothing.

Yet people keep on buying it without giving other similar games a look. Blinkers.
#32
Nothing special - appears to be very linear like it's predecessors and for some reason rather depressing.

On another note - Onlive were/are accepting sign ups, might be a good time to sign-up for potential UK beta access later this summer. I played around on the US beta using my MSI Wind netbook and managed to play some of the newest games including Just Cause 2 albeit there was a fair bit of delay (due to the latency to the US).
#33
I'll be buying both MW3 and BF3. Both will be awesome. People who **** off COD so much are just trying to be cool kids. It's just like with really popular music or when a band they like get too famous and they have to suddenly hate that music.

Or you know, people grow up / get bored of the same thing every year / tastes in gaming change.
#35
Or people who played Battlefield 2, which was a better game than any CoD game released so far.
Apart from graphics of course, its an old game, but graphics dont make a game.
Gameplay Battlefield 2 was immense, and no console game has ever come close to it, and since CoD embraced the console market so much that also has never matched it.

Battlefield 1942 was 2002, Battlefield 2 was 2005 and consoles just havent pushed gaming forwards.
2005 and PC gamers had full control of Planes, tanks, choppers massive maps and player numbers and you still cant do it on consoles.
6 years its taken for consoles to catch up.

And its Battlefield pushing it forward...a PC game ported to consoles.
Instead of the usual CoD games which are currently being made as console games which get badly ported to PC as well. Hence why MW2 had like 1% of its sales on PC, it wasnt up to scratch.

I like both, call of duty does the simply very well, it just runs so smooth and everything works so well, its like your local good restaurant that has been selling the same old steak on the menu for years, but dam its good steak, **** I am really hungry and just wanted an excuse to talk about steak. I really like a good fillet steak with pepper sauce and maybe some tobacco onions, maybe some chips and a bit of mash, or chomp, just a few vegetables as not fussed on those. So to confirm, Call of Duty is like the steak in the restaurant that you have been going to since you’re a kid, yes it is the safe choice, but it is predictably very good.

Disagree, consoles are just as easy, and the games are leaked first. Some PC Games (such as Hawx 2), still aren't cracked 10 months after release. Anyway the PC market won't die for the simple reason Intel/AMD/Nvidia will pump money into it. It needs to stay alive as that's where most their income comes from. You didn't think mummy and daddy buying a PC for spreadsheets makes the profit did you? No it's the people spending £600 on a graphics card and £350 on a processor. And it's that profit which funds the R&D and allows the tech to advance (which in turn consoles use, although theirs is always a few years behind).

It really isn't. NVidia's and AMD's profit most certainly doesn't come from the high-end GPUs; these amount to a tiny fraction of their income, but are essential for one thing: marketing. The vast majority of their income (and with it profit) comes from the much smaller-dice, higher-yield budget and midrange chips they produce, not the multi-billion-transistor behemoths. As for Intel, the highest-price fastest clock-binned CPUs likewise make a relatively small amount of sales, although given its generally all one design that produces everything from the mid-range to the highest-end the market forces purely dictate what prices to set to each speed-binning to cover the necessary margins...

Massive maps are a big negative selling point to me - Where's the fun of navigating through miles of map for a kill?

And if I recall, the boycott on MW2 was due to a lack of dedicated servers or something, was it not?
