He wants to in the end become a permanent citizen

However I think you need to apply for a 1yr working citizenship firstly

How does he apply for this? How long does it take to go through? And where can he apply

Also he phoned the Canadian citizenship place and I think they said he needs to get a job sorted before he can apply for his working Visa, how does he do this, any good recruitment sites

Any help would be great

not really, bit lost, you mind going away from this thread if your not going to help:thumbsup:
The easiest way to get in and working is to find a company to sponsor you.

Note that you must have a skilled profession and must have a certain amount of money in your account, I think to prove you can support yourself.
dont know if it works like the USA becaue my oh had a visa for working in the USA and we were attched to it, I was not allowed to work and myself and my two daughteI have two daughters but as soon as my eldest reached 21 they would have asked her to leave.
Our visa was supported by a company in the US and took almost two years to get and he was only allowed to work for taht company, ould not change jobs. We stayed for about 4 months, my daughter reached 21 and we had no choice, so what I am saying is lok into every little thing and find as much information as you can, quetion everything, we had two years but had not realised until we got the visa that I would not be allowed to work and my daughter wa only eligible until she was 21.
We have also lived in Australia - much easier to get into and we have absolutely loved living there, sorry we came back but it had always been ourr dream to live in the USA, if only for foresight, we would probably still be in Queensland - Good luck
thanks, so confusing all of this
