Need some advice on what steps i should take

I used my card on rileys website to book a table for the night as it was half price £7.20. Noticed a couple weeks later my statement said the following...
10 Jul 10
CARD PAYMENT TO RILEYS,14.60 GBP ON 08-07-2010 14.60

10 Jul 10 CARD PAYMENT TO WWW.RILEYS.CO.UK,7.20 GBP ON 08-07-2010
7.20

Now emails are going back and forth to rileys customer service who take about 2 months to reply to each email! they INSIST i made a payment online then i went to rileys physically then made a transaction in the store again for £14.60 (the usual rate for 3 hours of pool)

I went paid £7.20 online on there site for the table at 8pm for 3 hours. so 8pm to 11pm there open for 1 more hour on that day. There saying i made another payment instore for £14.60 for another 3 hours.

Called my bank they have told me rileys DEFINATLY charged my card for the full amount then the discounted amount.

What shall i do? rileys will not take responsibility. I goto rileys twice a week and spend £25.20 every week! havnt gone since as they just wont help with this.

Surely your bank can distinguish between an online transaction and one made in a shop/pool hall.

Ask the bank to send a letter with the two payments and exact time they were taken. Then fax to rileys or take in physically and have a tear up

You know what makes me laugh, They dont have a customer service. Just 1 person at the headquarters that you struggle to find an address for or email address.

When you tell the manager in the store where all this happened in they fob you off by stating they cannot do anything about it.

Will contact my bank again and try that though.

if you dispute a cad payment with yur bank they wil sort it for you. I did it for a payment we made by visa debit for a private transfer service on hols that was not what they offered one way as a shared minibus and on return they wanted to charge again so we got a taxi. The bank paid me in FULL back.

In your case tho its fraud?
