My Kodak EASYSHARE DX4530 5MP Digital Camera - PLEASE HELP!!!!

Hi,

My parents bought this camera a good 5 years ago, it's obviously dated, but it still works well. I have a holiday coming up next Tuesday (to Portugal :-) ) and was going to use it. It has 32MB internal memory and an expansion slot for a memory card

I want to get a memory card (or two) for it to take on holiday but i'm unsure what to get. Will the camera be able to handle a decent sized memory card? If so - which one might you suggest? Would it be worth getting a new camera for a slightly more money?

Cheers for any help.

it takes sd cards which are very cheap, cant seem to find out what the max capacity that the camera can take though

It says on the kodak site that it can take 2 GB SD cards not sure if its more! If you have had good pictures from it before and you are happy then just get an SD card otherwise there are some great cameras out there for unde £100

I have a 512mb SDCard for sale if interested. £4 incl delivery. Should be able to put 200 pics on that.

It should take a 2gb card

£5.99 at play

Or you could get 2 for £8.99 if you think you will take more than 7-800 photo's

I have an old Kodak easyshare, it's not the same model as yours but it certainly won't take a 2Gb card even after a firmware update, so check the Kodak site first.

edit
whoops, sorry just noticed that you've already ordered, hope that they are OK

My neighbour has an older Kodak Easyshare (not sure what model it is though) and when I looked for a memory card for him a few months ago, it was a CompactFlash card that was needed. So I'd also advise looking at the Kodak site to check. :)

Shame you could have popped into PC World today and got them to price match to Play.com
