My little Dilemma

At the moment i have a little Dilemma and not sure what to do, so any inputs, advice etc would be grateful,

Basically its my 2nd wedding anniversary next month, so me and the mrs have a booked a holiday for a couple of weeks. Now cause the holiday cost a fair bit we both agreed no presents or anything, which i was pleased about as i never know what to buy :).

But the Mrs has gone and bought a present (errghhh), I dont know what it is but i know she has got me something (thanks to a tip off from a friend). Now my thinking is this, we agreed no presents so now that she has got me something will it look bad if I dont get her anything.
And if I should get her something what should i get? Obviously dont want to spend much and she love sentimental/personalised things.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Buy something relevant..... keep the receipt.... if she doesn't give you a present (i.e if your friend is winding you up) take it back and get a refund, win / win :).

your time is more precious than any purchased gift, how about a nice romantic meal cooked by you, soft music, candlelight, pretty table lay out, rose petals up the stairs etc :)

get her a nice watch -and give her all of you time!

Second anniversary is supposed to be cotton, so maybe something based on that? Doesnt need to be expensive just a token. You can buy personalised t-shirts and things, from all major photo places. We bought my mum a bag with photo of our kids on last year. She loves it and it wasnt particularly expensive its a gesture gift you need really.

Mine always does that... you have to prepare - get something awesome and pretend you haven't - then whip out the best thing in the world and watch her get upset that she didn't get you something better...

That's the rules of secret presents...

Last year I got a book (I really wanted but a book) got her an Opal and silver necklace... small jewellery is always nice - Don't go to H Samuel - find an independent place...

Or make it? - silver bullion is really cheap...

We leave for the holiday that day after our anniversary, So I'm gonna need something for the day. Here i was thinking just go out for a meal on the day and thats it.

Flowers and chocolates - Well i think ive she is bored of that by now (thats how inventive i get :?)

Flowers and chocolates do the trick, but try something different, buy the choclates, and write a small note under each piece, something nice and that way everytime she eats a chocolate, she'll have something to look forward to in the sweet note. Maybe look at the interent for nice things to say. And you will earn some massive brownie points :)

oh and resist the temptation of actually eating the chocoates when you'r doing the lil love notes.. !!

You've been married for 2 years and you still don't know that "no gifts" means "buy me something"? :giggle:

Don't buy flowers if you are going away the day after.

Why don't you buy her a charm bracelet with one charm on it and every year add to it (and special occasions) - they don't cost too much and everytime she looks at it, she'll think of you.:)
