congratulations and well done to your daughter xx

My eldest had a part-time job from aged 14, first pot washing in a restaurant then working weekends at WHSmith, looked good on his CV when he applied for his current job, although only 19 he is doing really well. Middle son has had a paper round for nearly a year now, hopefully the youngest will get one too when he is old enough.

Tell her well done from me:thumbsup: Just you wait till the kids leave home as ours have done, the last one left in September and we miss her every day
#26
Well done to her for getting up and doing something-and well done to a great mum for the brill incentive to save ! If my 8 year old saves for something we always work out an amount he has to save and we add the rest-its a real good way to make them appreciate the value of saving .
#27

well shes not home yet, i get the feeling shes gonna come home cream crackered, she phoned me at lunchtime to say everything was ok, and she was fine

Well done to her sassie. Good for them to have a little independence and to learn the value of money and what it takes to earn it. All mine had wee jobs before they left school and they saved some and spent some of their well earned cash each week. Well of course there was always one of them just HAD to spend the savings for some bit of carp or whatever.
