Hi guys was looking for bit of advice. My phone contract with Orange is up at the end of the month and was wondering if i should stay with them and get a free phone upgrade.

Currently paying £25 per month for 200 min 200 txts

Dont know what other deals are out there but dont use my phone excessively anyway. Is this deal cheaper anywhere else?

thats a **** deal - shop around and you'd get twice as many minutes and texts for that price

How about virgin 200 mins 200 texts or is it 300 anyway £10 p.m. if you are a virgin media customer

Dont upgrade with Orange, you get a pish deal. Get a PAC code and get a contract from one of the online phone companies and you'll get a better phone and more minuets.

was in the orange store today and they were giving away an xbox 360 if the tarriff was more than £35 a month, but contract was for 18 months, there seems to be a few deals like that around at the mo. They did say it is available for existing customers as well

Have a read of this thread. I'm sorry to link to "the enemy", but it'll help.

I agree Orange will offer a rubbish upgrade. Cancel, request PAC if required, and take out a new contract direct from the orange/voda/O2 etc website via Quidco; think I got about £80 cashback on my last vodafone contract, they also had an offer of 10% off for the life of the contract and the first 6 months half price - none of it by redemption too.

Btw, I completely disagree that you'll get a poor upgrade deal with Orange.

In the past month, Ive upgraded to an N95 from them. Im now paying £10 per month, for 12 months and getting 300 minutes and 500 texts per month - and my N95 was free.

How on earth did you get that from them? My contract is up and i called up about an upgrade earlier this week and was told that I could only get phones (I wasn't interested in) for free like the U600 or a K810i I'm on a £25 tariff and I was after the G600, W910i or Viewty would cost me anything from £50 to £80 so I told them I would look elsewhere. Is it worth calling back again next week and seeing if they'll better that?

Cheers.

I've always had the same thing, on a £30 tariff and they only ever offer me rubbish old phones I'm not interested in. Last time they wanted in the region of £100 for the phone I wanted, so I just cancelled and ordered the phone for free on the same tariff as a new customer, jokers.

Iv just went into a contract for 2 LG viewty phones on seperate contracts for me and mrs saxo

There both on virgin and im payin £30 a month for 200 min and 1000 texts on a 12 month contract, i also had to pay £74.95 upfront to begin with. Not a bad deal i think
The other one i was going to get was the £35 contract deal with o2 and that included 600 call min and 1000 texts and you can change the added bolt on from free calls 02-02 and change to unlimited usage on the net.
really good offer i thought.....but it was only for a 18 month contract for which i dont want stuck with this phone for that long.

This is the start of a contract phone for me and her and hav never been in a cotract before, i think it just depends on who your with and how long, if you have been with them for ages your going to get a really good deal if you say ur leaving.

The thing is that I've been a customer with Orange since 2000, PAYG for 3 and a bit years and Contract for the last 4yrs so I'm really annoyed that they're being stingy with the upgrades! Any advice on how to play this with Orange would be appreciated as I have a few 'Magic Numbers' that I get completely free calls to so wouldn't like to lose them bvy having to go somewhere else. Cheers.

Say your going to leave as you have seen a better offer somewhere else, look up a better offer first to use that as fire power,
the see what they say......thy might aswell offer you a good deal

my mate said he was leaving o2 and they offered him a free N95 black 8gb phone, 600 call min, 1000 free texts .....and unlimited web use !!

shop around a bit then go back to them and say x is ginving this offer and im thinking of leaving, can you better it or match it.

Scroll down then pick the 12 month plan then choose which contract you want by buying, you will have to pay but i think its a good offer.

Have a read of the thread I linked to for hints and tips. I rang up 3 times to get my deal, each time they had logged what they offered me.
