My mom's 65th Birthday - what should I get her?

Its my mom's birthday on 19th. I don't know what to get her, I want something special for her. Not jewellery as she won't wear it. My sister and I bought her a camera for christmas and accessories for her mixer. She's just bought herself a new mobile.

A bit about her - she's disabled (mobility) and she loves puzzles.

Any ideas welcome.

Digital photo frame? - maybe loaded with some special pics?
Does she have one of those roll up mat things for doing jigsaw puzzles?
Good idea re personalised jigsaw from Marnie - how about one of her fav pics put on canvas?
Or do an evening (video'd) in a limited version of "This is your life" - invite old friends, workmates and relatives to a small party and put up pics and things on a screen?
But am sure - as long as there is your thought and effort behind it -that will be what pleases your mum most - more so than going out and spending a fortune :-)

Good luck!

Is there, somwhere, a view or a house or some place that means a lot to her, could you ask an artist to paint it. I have done this on several occasions and it always very well received. Pic of a much family home that they could not longer afford to live in.

I'll have to think about that, can't think of a place. Hubby drew her animals in pastels last year. Will have a good think.

He doesn't want to do one of the animals. I asked her what her favourite place is/was and she said "Home" - I could take some piccies and ask J to do one of that - he said he could do it.

She's got more craft stuff than I have! We all make cards in my family and my mom and sister do scrapbooking. She doesn't need an ebook, to be honest, she wouldn't use it. Thanks for the ideas though.

I guess... Speaking as a Mum... What I like most is when one of the kids makes something for me or spends some time with me, telling me about things.

Make her a cup of coffee, slice up a bit of cake and sit down and natter with her for a couple of hours...

Lovely birthday!!
