+1 I know what it's like to be given stuff they've put no thought into whatsoever. THINK, buy something genuinely from you.

Or a magazine subscription.

You could go/give her tickets to the thetre, out for a meal, or buy her a pamper thing?

What about sweets from her childhood? I've got my Mum for Mothers Day a box of 50's sweets & they arrived in 2 days & are excellent. I had them delivered to work & have had to slap hands away & everyone is impressed.

I think jewellery, perhaps a pair of earrings, a necklace or a bracelet; something that will last forever and mean alot. Personally I prefer these kinds of presents to clothing, candles and pamper stuff as they only last a matter of months on average :)
