my neighbour is doing my head in.....

One of my neighbours is doing insurance searches on the net in his name but, at my address. I know this because they are bombarding me with letters to take out this insurance. What can I do about this? I know that if I say anything to him he will deny it. I am worried because all searches go against me, which is probably why he is using my address. We have exact same house see so easy done to get a quote.

Never thought of that. Thanks. I will have to start keeping the letters that come to back me up and go to the police. I also had a letter from a solicitor for his girlfriend once.

by same house I mean we live in the same street, both in a 2 bed with same postcode.

go to the police, he could be trying to get credit in his name at your address. not sure if it is still the same but its a house that gets black listed not just the person.
good luck hun

Yeah thats right go to the police..they have nothing better to do with their time sat on their ***** eating donuts and drinking tea......get them to sort out your life rather than going and talking to him about it......not getting at the OP just the dumb comment above............:x

That was not a dumb comment, although the irony of your comment stinks.

It wasn't dumb, it's just that you clearly have a different perspective of what the police 'do'.

you can call the insurers on the letters to let them know and that way if he tries to take out a policy he shouldnt be able to as it will be flagged as fraudulent.

For a start look on line for the mailing preference service for youself and select nothing. This wll reduce any complications assocated with these people passing on your contact details.

Then sign your neighbour up for everything.
or listen to the wisdom of jack Handy
"Sometimes when I feel like killing someone, I do a little trick to calm myself down. I’ll go over to the person’s house and ring the doorbell. When the person comes to the door, I’m gone, but you know what I’ve left on the porch? A jack-o-lantern with a knife stuck in the side of its head with a note that says “You.” After that I usually feel a lot better, and no harm done."

Thing is, you will require proof if you intend to report this, you're really only going on an assumption at the moment - and they will be able to do little based on an allegation. Furthermore, you will end up starting a war with your neighbour in the process, that's the last thing you need IMO.

Approach your postman, and instruct him only to deliver mail that is directly addressed to you.

erm ,couldnt he have just got the address wrong (and if he uses an autofill utility it will keep entering the wrong address? maybe he is being a wide-boy but surely you should ask him nicely first???
