Hi Mallinersha,
Was going to get one of these, are they ok, no lag?

No lag at all - all that was missing was the correct buttons (so I added them)

Getting headshots on Uncharted 2 has never been so easy!

Turbo is just rapid fire, I've not even tried that aspect of the adaptor yet.

Don't hesitate and buy one today, you won't regret it! I just love the fact that you cas swap the triggers round at the push of a button.

Isn't it even easier to plug in a mouse and keyboard?

I think you're mistaken, I've got a PS3 not a PC :)

Er yeah i know, i plug a mouse and keyboard into mine all the time.

I doubt this game supports it though, so i sorta was joking

I know you were joking - and yeah, you're right the game does not support a keyboard or mouse.

I'd just hate trying to play a console game with a keyboard and mouse even more than using a PS3 controller!

Well I tried putting Uncharted 2 in my 360 before I splashed out the £45 and it wouldn't work

Only worth it if you could use the gamecube controller, sony and ms can't make controllers for **** (sony is worse though).

Glad you said GC controller not the N64 controller, the amount controllers me and my mates got through playing Goldeneye, it was the damn analogues they wore down way too easy!

Personally I loved the original xbox controller, not the little S version, as it fitted nicely in my hands and didnt ache after playing for hours. I prefer the 360 controller though over the ps3 controller, that actually hurts after playing for a while.

D-pad still sucks lol
#23
How much did that bit of kit set you back. Would much prefer this to the poor ps3 feel.

True, but not a major part of the control.

 Still seems a little too much for a control. If you got the money suppose its worth it though

An hour playing Uncharted 2 with the Dual shock 3 convinced me that £45 was a small price to pay!

It's like a totally different game! Going to try Resistance 2 and Killzone 2 next, see how they play..

BTW, I used the buttons from a 1st gen PSONE (non-analogue) pad as the analogue versions buttons don't fit!

why are you using the ps3 over your 360 then? or are these games not on the 360?

(I don't play games much)

FWIW: I like the ps2 dualshock 2 controller best. hated original xbox and dont like the 360 controller (my mates have 360s) one of my friends has a ps3 but the controller felt the same as the ps2 one so not sure what you found so bad about it?

I only really play racing or beat em ups... not much of these COD/long kinda games...

Uncharted 2, Resistance 2 and Killzone 2 are all PS3 exclusives. It's the triggers of the PS3 pad, the loaction of them and the fact that most games use R1 and L1 as their main firing buttons, the small size of the controllers and the fact that it's not changed design at all since about 1996.

A lot of games allow you to change the button layouts.
I've found that R1 as a main firing button is pure win.
They haven't changed the design much over the 3 consoles because it's already good enough.

Not enough games allow you to change the triggers though, like I said, it's all down to personal prefference. Not trying to start a' which is better' flame war :)

Millions love the PS contoller design and that's why Sony have stuck to it.

triggers on ps3 fail

I love racing games but the GT4 demo that was around a while ago allowed me to play for about 10 minutes before my hands were crippled, much easier on xbox, normally my hands get crippled after an hour on forza lol

LOL

noobs use those buttons on driving games im afraid, get much more control with triggers

On GT i tried triggers first then reverted back to the standard right analogue for throttle/brakes, but for driving games the ps3 controller is just to small for my big hands.

Yeah i know a few games like Burnout uses triggers, which i feel a bit strange using, but it's not so bad.
