Im an arsenal fan and it is hard to stomach what has just happened tonight.
Wenger must splash out on some new players im sure he knows this already!.
so whats the hold up mr wenger???

ok let me just do some general nitpickings on whats right and wrong with arsenals current side!

Almunia = unreliable - arsene should have bought shay given, only god knows why he didnt??
clichy = overrated
wallcott - can definately run, but his final pass always lets him down!
fabregas - no doubt arsenals best player, but i think he may join barca in the near future?
silvestre - there is a reason fergie sold him!
cambell - his best days are behind him
eduardo - has not been the same player since the horrific injury!
bendtner - will definately improve over the time, wenger should keep him
two more top quality defenders are needed to bolster up the defence, and also a midfielder on fabregasa's level.

and finally we need an out and out !!!!!!!!!!!STRIKER!!!!!!!!!!! when henry and adebayor left why was there no replacements bought in the during the transfer windows:thinking:

Can we have streakers instead? :)

Striker - Van Persie/Arshavin - When on form two of the best in Europe......
Bendtner is a complete waste of space and I honestly believe Pat Rice has a better first touch than him.
Walcott just needs some stability and a run in the team
Agree that Fabregas will leave, but I feel if we strengthen the defence, then Song and Diaby with Ramsey and Wilshere will make a great set of midfielders, alongside Nasri and Theo.

That isn't really what i would call "short"

Here would be my version...

Sale them all except fabregas, and start again...

/end

get rid of arsene also, as he is so negative complaining all the time, annoys me just listening to him after a game, every match now he has a face like someone broke into his house on xmas day and peed on his kids.

Clearly they have never been on form then.... :whistling:

Agreed

Walcott just needs some stability and a run in the team
Running is all he does isn't it?? hehe, but i think he is a good player :)

Van persie was on form.... before he got injured he was probably best in prem tbh.

How can you say that. If it wasn't for bendtner Arsenal would be slap bang in the middle of the battle for 4th spot.

And that first comment is just utterly ridiculous

He plays an essential role in the midfield, is strong on the ball, tackles well and has a great touch with excellent passing. He is exactly what a team wants in a strong midfield player. He is the new Patrick Viera, and is a core to the team.

Yep, it is only arsenal fans who see this potential, noone else can,

It is like liverpool fans seeing promise in lucas.... seriously, in a year or 2, it will be diaby who? he is just a filler mate...

Yes, although he has scored some key goals, they have all been long delayed. If he had scored even a tenth of the chances he actually has then we would be in a much stronger position this season.
Also, with Arshavin, there aren't many players that put 5 past a strong Liverpool in one game....
#17
I'm no Arsenal fan but I bet if you told any Gunner at the beginning of the season that

they would still be in within 3 points of the Premier League title with just a few games to go
they had taken Barce in to the second leg after a 2-2 draw in Champions league quarter finals...

I think most would bit your hand off. Considering the lack of funds Arsenal have and the wage limit they impose, what Wenger has crafted out of a team of 'average' players has been somewhat incredible.

You Arsenal fans that complain do my head in, you watch some of the Premierships most attractive football!
#18
Tbh there is no need for this overreaction. Barca are the best in the world and it was always going to be hard with so many players missing. There are areas that need to be strengthened, mainly in goal and defence and I'm confident Wenger will address it. I'm sure before the season you doubted we'd even get 4th, with Wenger he will always make sure the team is better. The only problem comes when players leave us though Wenger wants to keep them, such as when Flamini and Hleb left after we came close in 07. If Cesc does leave it will be a big loss, but he isn't everything for us plus I don't think he will leave anyway.

I can think of 10 forwards who are better than arshavin and van persie. Nothing but nonsense coming from your direction

Completely agree, what Arsene has done is outstanding, and without the string of injuries this season we would arguably be in an even stronger position. The thing that frustrates alot is the lack of real strength throughout the team. Also, people see the money coming into the club from sales, and want something back from this.

OP, how can arsenal spend "big" when they havent any funds?????????:?

I don't agree with every point made, but there was an attempt at a fair analysis. Also we do have some average players e.g. Silvestre, Denilson, Vela but you were trying to claim Sagna, Bendtner and Diaby were and having watched Arsenal a lot more than you this season I can tell you without doubt that none of these 3 are just average. Diaby has shown such great improvement this season, same with Bendtner and I did think these 2 were average at the start of this season but this season they have improved and yet are still so young.
#27
No offence, but i think Arsenal fans should stop whinging! All teams have their ups and downs, injuries and problems. Arsenal have had a good season so far and there are still in the title race.

Lack of players (due to injuries) and lack new faces (Due to not buying) IS Arsene Vengers fault and although he is a good manager he is too stubborn. He should just bite the bullet and pile it on the credit card and hope they can pay it back when the start winning trophies again...

for example the sale of adebayor for £25 million where did that money go towards??
#29
A lot of nonsense and a bit rationality in this thread. Only things I have to say are; Diaby is a good strong midfielders, and I've heard way too much about Arsenal could have beaten Barca/be doing better in the prem if it weren't for injuries. Every team has big injuries at this point of the season, and that's why depth in squad is essential.

P.s I'm Chelsea

Exactly - take out 4 or 5 core players of any top teams and you would see them seriously struggle. A lot of Arsenal fans complain there is also "no experience" in the team - that they should invest in buying someone who has played at the top level before. However, I bet you that someone like that would just not adapt to the Arsenal approach. What Wenger does is take players with "potential" and moulds them in to a way which suits the team. Fabregas, Van Persie, Henry, Overmars, etc etc would never be the players they are today otherwise!

Well it may not always be the wisest idea to invest all money from sales back in to transfer fees, at least they are in a strong financial position compared to a lot of clubs in world football! (and a nice shiny new stadium to add to that too - thanks Adebayour!)

Bendtner is terrible! He might have scored a few lately but guys like arshavin and nasri are putting them on a plate for him. I've never known why he has consistantly got a place in a team like arsenal.

How is it possible to communicate with Wenger and tell him the following facts which we can all see:
Silvestre is a MATCH LOSER
Campbell is a MATCH LOSER
