She phoned me and asked me what she should do!

As I have no idea I told her to phone NHS direct and ask incase she needs a tetanus.

I just tried googling it, but couldn't find an answer - so knowing there are a few nurses on this site I was wondering whether it could cause harm?

get a tetanus to be safe

Poor mouse. lol

I'm not a nurse, but I would think she would be best to have a tetanus if she hasn't had one in a while.

you have to have one after a dog/cat bite.

get to hospital. its disease ridden vermin

she'll hopefully have kept up to date with her tetanus jabs like everyone else should

She phoned NHS but they are only taking emergency calls

So I found some info on the NHS website and have sent her the links on how to treat a bite. She might need to go to the walk in centre just to be checked. Always better to err on the side of caution

Was it a pet mouse or a wild mouse? The chance of getting anything serious from a pet, home bred mouse is small, but a wild mouse, for me, would be a trip to A&E.

I used to own a pet shop and was bitten daily off stock mice and rats.

if it was this sort of mouse then i'd be worried, vicious little sods !

Hehe all these posts after I went to bed!

It wasn't a pet mouse - I think it was one caught by the cat - or should I say toiled with! And yes of course it would have been scared.

My sister in law was actually trying to save it.

Thanks for the response!
