Just received an email from the buyer saying they haven't received it. What do I do?

You contact Hermes. When they can't (probably) prove that they delivered it you refund your buyer and claim for loss from Hermes. They suck.

The age old ebay problem. Classic. Simply not worth the bother.

Hope you have insured the parcel, terrible service by Hermes, I always use DPD and are much more user friendly.

Stop using Hermes!
I bought a framed watercolour from an eBay seller. They packed it extremely well and wrote 'fragile' on it. Hermes lost it, found it, sent it to the wrong city, and finally delivered it to me with the frame and glass broken, and the watercolour damaged. Though the seller refunded me, I felt sorry for them. It was also sad to see a one off piece of art ruined.

Query It with buyer first, sometimes they say they haven't recieved it when they have. Delve a bit deeper before blaming hermes.

You have provided the tracking number , ensure you add the tracking number to the ebay listing and give ebay a bell to let them know whats happened and you will be ok

Tell ebay and it will be ok? Yes tell them.if you want them to side instantly with the buyer. Just notify the buyer it's already been recieved by them and ask them if any neighbours may have it.

And if they having you over they will tell you to do one and report you to ebay for harassment
Speak to ebay with your concern and also paypal , regardless of what some may say here you have evidence physically of tracking and delivery

If you have proof of delivery, you are fine in my experience. I know Yodel record the GPS location when it is signed for not sure about Hermes.

You'll be fine as your have proof it was delivered. For eBay you don't even need a signature unless the items value exceeds £750. Add the tracking number to the order details and should they raise a case, highlight that the item have been delivered to eBay and you should win however morally you have to decide if you believe the buyer is telling the truth because doing so will put them out of pocket which is unfair.

What I would do is the following: Do the above anyway to ensure the funds are safe with me, however in the background I would investigate further with My Hermes, when investigated should it be that the item was not actually delivered then I would refund the back of my own back at a later date even after a case was complete.

That's just my opinion though. I try to be fair and honest but I don't let people take me for a ride so-to-speak. With My Hermes track record they could very well be telling the truth.
