Hi - Going to play golf and stay at Wychwood park near Crewe on Sunday night. A few people have recommended Nantwich for a night out rather than Crewe. I've never been to either of them so can't comment myself. Can anyone recommend some good places to go out for a drink in Nantwich on a Sunday night!! We're all straight so would prefer to steer away from the Gay Scene....

Hi, I live in Nantwich,
Wychwood park to Nantwich is approximately 4 miles away. I would recommend Nantwich over Crewe any time. Both are roughly the same distance away to the golf course.
You would have a good night in the Railway Hotel in Nantwich + next door is a nice Indian restaurant. Out of the Pub / Hotel only 200m away is the small town with lots of pubs and eateries.
Anyway how posh are you stopping at Wychwood park . A few premiership footballers live there overlooking the course (Stoke players)

Thanks for the tips - I must have posted at the same time as you. We got a good deal. 2 rounds of golf and Dinner Bed and Breakfast for £59. Don't know anything about the course but at the price we paid - who cares!

You got that for a great price.
The Wychwood park area is very toffee nosed.
Come of the M6 at Junction 16 and you are 10 mins away.

8 Lads from Fleetwood will stick out like a sore thumb then. Hope I don't hit any wayward shots towards these large premiership footballers palaces!! :whistling:

This is getting interesting now. The concensus is either Nantwich or Hanley. I've checked the distances for both from Wychwood Park. 20mins by car to Nantwich and 28 mins to Hanley.

As team leader it's gonna fall down to me to make the call on the night. Naturally I want to get this right so for those in the know would you rather have a SUNDAY night out in Nantwich or Hanley?
