Nationwide online banking help

I have a natwest bank account and was sent some money from somebody with a nationwide bank account online on sunday night.

I was expecting it to have cleared and been in my account today (wednesday) as it said it would take 3 working days because of it being a weekend.

Should I contact the person who transferred the money to say I havn't received it and let them contact nationwide, or might it come into my account on thursday?

Any help would be appreciated

Nationwide and Natwest are two of the 12 banks that introduced FPS (Faster Payments Service), and as such the money should really be in your bank now.

I'd give em a ring.

Nationwide aren't sending faster payments yet, only receiving them (as of 14/7 - may have updated) , so 3 working days would mean Thursday in your bank I think :thumbsup:

Info here >http://www.apacs.org.uk/sortcodechecker/

Institutions currently sending Faster Payments include:
* Barclays Bank
* Citi
* Clydesdale & Yorkshire Banks,
* HSBC
* LloydsTSB
* Northern Bank
* Royal Bank of Scotland Group (incorporating NatWest and Ulster Bank)

Natwest isn't listed as receiving them either, but this info was at 14 July so may have updated :

Maybe worth asking bank the specific question about the Faster Payment Scheme - have they now joined & if not do they have an expected date to join :thumbsup:

Thats a relief, has anybody got any actual experience of nationwide transfers? I think its normally 2 days for transfers during the week and 3 days for weekends. Is this correct?

no. 3 working days means 3 working days. Sat/sun do not count. So transfer on a friday should hit your account on a wedsnesday.
