what can i watch next
iv watched

the dresden files
the lost room
reaper
pushing daisies

what can i watch next thats similar but not an epic watch, only a couple of seasons
true blood? that any good
supernatural seems to long maybe?
not the legend of the seeker, iv read the books and i know the series wont compare

not interested in the wire, sopranos, 24 , the shield, anything police, gangster/mob
pref something easy to watch, likethe ones iv listed,or abit funny, but not stupid like boston legal, the in betweeners etc, mybe something abit supernatural,as it seems to be a theme in what iv watched.i tend to watch episodes in bed on me laptop last thing before sleeping so something easy to watch

just want2 know what people have watched what they think i may like, i accidentally came across the dresden files and the lost room, neva sin them advertised on tv, so maybe someone knows of something similar i wouldn'tv come across on my own

thanku

Probably not your cup of tea but Arrested Development is very amusing

Too short IMO - well worth a watch
Otherwise get hold of ANY HBO made series - especially Rome
#3
Fringe is worth a watch if you haven't seen it.
#4
Entourage
#5
Warehouse 13 or Sanctuary

Especially Rome. Absolutely bloody amazing and something I intend to pick up on Blu Ray as soon as it drops a little... "British women... Now that's savage c****y." :-D

Oz is also brilliant, but is six seasons and a hard slog. It's certainly something I'm going to wait a few years before tackling again in it's entireity. I do hear great things about Carnivale, but I think it may have ended without any proper resolution. Talking of shows that didn't end properly though, Deadwood is still amazing in it's own right but you have to prepare yourself for the fact that the story doesn't quite close up properly. I'd still strongly recommend giving it a try- what there is, is superb.

Deviating from HBO, there is also Showtime who are the only ones that can rival HBO for sheer quality. Dexter and Californication are both great shows, although with Californication it helps if you're a David Duchovny fan already! I'm just about to embark on watching The Tudors, with the intent of catching up within the last few episodes of it fourth and final season, which starts on April 11th (in the US anyway).

Away from those two, the only one that comes to mind off the top of my head is Jericho. It's only got one full length season, which was fantastic and well worth a watch. Unfortunately, despite a HUGE campaign from fans, the second season didn't draw enough new viewers and ended up being seven episodes long. However, they do at least manage to resolve it. It's just bittersweet, because the show definitely had legs to continue. Try it :)

I know you said you don't want police type things, but Dexter is brilliant. It's not like the ordinary police dramas that are on. Supernatural is also excellent. True blood is very watchable and I've found The Vampire Diaries is quite good too

Hardly end of thread, since Firefly isn't going to last very long for even the most occasional of watchers!!

True Blood is amazing, well worth catching up on as Season 3 starts this June

Legend of the seeker is very enjoyable, I have not read the books. Although after watching the first few series I may try get them

I have just done the Supernatural thing, loved it. Can get series 1 2 & 3 for less than £10 each on amazon/asda

Warehouse 13 was very good and series 2 back this summer

If you like comedy etc Chuck is fantastic & totally my fav TV series

you need to red the books, wizerds first rule is the first one, although there is a mini one called debt of the bones, not a neccessary read though
theres about 10 of them altogether, and theyr all massive so it is a commitment, theyr fantastic though, iv read all but the last one

thanks everyone
