If you go to the FS/FT forum, there is a set of rules of do's and dont's If thats any help

hi blake - welcome to HUKD :-D

The for sale section isn't designed for proper traders so you might run into trouble with the mods (or full time busy bodies like sassie :p). Best thing to do is read the rules in the for sale/trade section and any doubts drop one of the mods a PM and they'll keep you right.

Cheers

As a newbie and to get known as a good trader, yes it would be a good idea to identify your ebay username - as long as you are contactable through ebay to prove it is you!

There have been numerous scams, so it may take some time to get a fair crack until youve built up feedback. So using ebay is a good way to help you.

Dont post ebay URLs though - as ebay addresses are banned.

However - the FS forum isnt meant for traders!!!!

You could try buying a couple of bits first to help people first and then you gain feedback on here etc etc. It all helps and everyone starts somewhere. :)

my only queiry is how do you ensure that the other person has posted item, i mean what can be done if i post my item and they dont post what they promised

There's not really an entirely secure way of doing this, especially with swapping items. There may be some advice from people who've done it before but until then it's important to make sure the normal guidelines are followed. You'll have their address to send the game, get their phone number (preferrably landline) and have a chat with them to make sure they seem genuine, etc.

Good luck with your trades.

just make sure you have checked them out, got an address and a LANDLINE number, speak to them on the landline number before sending anything, this really is all you can do, if thigs go pear shaped at least you have contact, if anyone cannot give you the details you require i would seriously look at if its worth taking the risk:thumbsup: There is a few os us "full time busy bodies" who are always willing to help:thumbsup:

Very little in reality - so only proceed with a trade if you are 100% happy - check feedback here, ebay, etc see if paypal verified, get landline number etc. Most of the time things go OK, and it's usually higher value stuff that is used to scam.

Just a little questions whilst on the subject of FS/FT forum - If someone places a wanted ad, is it upto the person wanting, or the person selling to state a price if someone has one for sale??
