I'm a newbie to the xbox mod world. I've bee researching what dvds to buy and what drive to buy. My research points me to buying the Pioner dvr-111d. I need help on buying dvds that are compatible and work great with xbox 360. (trying to find a substitution for verbatims cause they are expensive).

I have saw the previous posts where people said to get the Aone ones from ebuyer. The last 20 odd reviews for the dvds are bad. So cant get that now.

honestly use verbs, yes they're expensive but still it only works out at about £1 a disc, which is nothing compared to replacing your original 360 game.

pioneer 216DBK (SATA drive) or 116DBK (IDE DRIVE) and Aones 8X full face printables.

Never let me down, well saying that, near 350 games with the first 216DBK (along with other normal dvds n stuff) second 216DBK is currently on 70 odd and going strong

like dudey says use Aones 8X full face printables, they are cheaper than chips, per disc anyway. I've had very few fails and I think the fails I have had were due to me not setting IMGburn up correctly, because when your burning 360 games you need to set the layer break in some applications.

ahh fwerk, sorry again, hate not telling the truth, I have had 1 faliure to my recollection, it was when the electric went out half way through a burn, but thats not the discs fault lol

111D or the superior 112D. Although the chances of getting a 112D are unlikely - you'll most likely end up with a 112L and need to crossflash to 112D.

Aone as previously stated. 2.4x - no higher.

Check to make sure your 111D is bitsetting correctly or you'll end up with unplayable discs or constant dirty disc errors.

I've used verbatims in the past had about 50 out of 60 burns because the qualities of files downloaded,my brother got me 10 tesco dl discs had 10/10 burns now I got 50 elite discs for 18.98 from big pockets 5 of 5 perfects so far

i see, 8x verbatims are a tad cheaper than the rare 2.4x ones that still exist. Will it still be able 2 burn at 2.4x because my pioner 111d can handle 2.4x
