Need help deciding between these 2 similar Mattresses please

Any helpful advice is appreciated.

What seems better, or is there much difference between these two?

"Special Sleep" (cheapest i can find is £150) http://www.mattressman.co.uk/silentnight/mattresses/mattresses/double/P3194S0L/special_sleep.aspx

or

"Silver Label" (cheapest i can find is £120) http://www.mattressman.co.uk/product.aspx?page_id=1&size_id=4&PID=302
the Silver Label is £120 from here: http://e bay.co.uk/Brand-New-46-Silentnight-Silver-Lable-Mattress-/290452971572?pt=Beds_Mattresses&hash=item43a058a034#ht_2044wt_1139

silver label seems available at several places and i'm able to get it for £120 delivered. Special sleep seems to be available in fewer shops, so i dont know if it's basically the same thing renamed with an inflated RRP...

Comparing the specs there it looks like they're the same except the site claims "Silver Label" is two-sided (which i've heard can be better? not sure).
But then again i'm not 100% sure it is two sided seeing as that's the first site i've heard mention that, and i thought one sided were cheaper to produce, etc...
Also the Silver Label appears to be a tiny bit thicker too....

Then the ebay listing for the Silver Label might have the warranty situation wrong, or they might not be an "authorised seller", so i'd be unable to claim the 5 year guarantee, not sure...

Based on the specs the silver label seems like it might be a tiny bit better? But the descriptions/etc. seems like the silver label's more a generic entry level model, and the "special sleep" might be slightly better?

I'm really undecided between the two, and i kind of need to order it tonight. Any help's appreciated please?

p.s. yes before i posted this i've looked at a bunch of mattresses in store, and looked up a lot of different types, done a ton of research and read a ton of reviews.

p.p.s. main attributes i needed before trying to choose between these two:
preferably silentnight (budget doesnt stretch to buying direct from a shop, so im sticking with a brand i trust to buy online)
double
medium-firm
Non-squeaky
needs to fit a bedframe with metal bar slats
Preferably anti-allergy, but not essential
Delivered for under or around £150

You should alway try a matress before buying it

In an ideal world, yes.
Unfortunately all the models in the shops around here either dont appear to be available online, or are double my budget.
Checked 5-6 different shops, etc.

Therefore i'm doing the next best thing, sticking to a brand i know, with a firmness scale i'm semi familar with.

Just buy one, its not likely anyone here has tried them both side by side to be able to tell you if any differences

I'm sure there's people who've had similar experiences.
Especially as a lot of the silentnight stuff just seems rebranded and sold to different stores so they can advertise a falsely inflated RRP...

Either way, there's plenty of people on this site with mattress knowledge as proven by past mattress threads...

Why are you even replying to this thread if you have nothing worthwhile to say? :/

what is proven, people say i've got this one and its comfy for me or its not comfy, it only proves it suits them, no one else
you say nothing worthwhile yet you are discussing what i say with me oO

You might want to think before posting in future :/ Your last post made very little sense.

I started a thread looking for advice or input from anyone who's owned any one of these particular mattresses, or has more knowledge of these mattresses than i do.

Both of these mattresses are of the same firmness rating, and are from the same brand and i'm finding it very hard to choose between the two.
Therefore it made sense for me to post here and see if anyone had any recommendations.

Instead all i get is you filling this thread up with rubbish... Thanks for that btw :/

which bit did you have trouble understanding?
everyone finds every matress's different, all you'll get is someone saying this one suits me, but that doesn't stop the other one suiting you personally better

Well i had trouble understanding your sentence structure of your last post honestly. It's a bit better now you've edited it, but it's still only half understandable...

Either way you're bringing up a point that has little merit in this particular case.
You might have a point if i was trying to decide between a memory foam mattress and a pocket spring type of mattress, but i clearly said i was trying to decide between two extremely similar types of mattresses, and was looking for someone with more knowledge of the subject to give me a few pointers.

i.e. I specifically mentioned the two sided characteristic, silentnight's model naming practices, my worry that one was a generic entry level model, and a bunch of other stuff...

Instead of leaving the thread alone seeing as you apparently aren't qualified to give me any helpful advice, you've instead spoiled my thread with a bunch of half coherent rubbish.

It's quite annoying :/

..am I the only one who read the title word mattress as 'Maltesers'?!! only came in 'ere for a nosey... off now.

btw, i reckon just go with the one you 'feel' is the right one for you. i find when you ponder over choices too much and deliberate- you always end up going for the one that you FIRST warmed to anyway. sorry to not be more of a help- but let us know which one you chose and post the findings on here once you've had a few nights sleep on it. may help someone else in your situation next time. g'luck!

my direct quote was "half coherent rubbish", because his previous post wasn't very coherent.

The point he eventually made is the choice between the two is down to personal preference based on comfort, yet based on what he said he doesnt appear to have much knowledge about this particular subject.
He has no idea if one of these models is made of cheaper materials, or if one has a common flaw, or if indeed the silver one is more sturdy.

Not to mention the only things he had to "add" were comments that all boiled down to "some people prefer some mattresses whilst other people prefer other mattresses".

I was obviously looking for someone with some knowledge of these products or this brand to help me out, but i guess now i appear like an impatient **** for getting frustrated at his replies and that lessens the chances of that happening.
Oh well :(

Based on the thread i was seeking advice it, it also seems the current system also has the downside of idiots wandering in from other Misc chat threads and thread spoiling with incoherent rubbish. :/

:)

K, there was me thinking you were referring to my comments in this thread...
I'm just going to go bash my head repeatedly against the wall now.
Think that'll be more helpful than this thread.

Do you actually realise how bad you sound? lol
Thanks for the entertainment at least.

I need to get a kids book to learn to write at your level of understanding

It's kind of hilarious how many times you've typed a reply and then deleted it.
Hope you're not getting too flustered over there, lol.

Cheers for the comment.
In case anyone wondered i went for the silver label version. The reviews seemed a bit better, i preferred it being double sided, seeing as what ive read about those types suggests they're more sturdy, and it was a tiny bit thicker too, which again suggests it's better made.

One thing to bare in mind though, the two sided thing suggests it might not be as fire resistant though, based on some of the stuff i've read. So hopefully i dont turn into barbeque any time soon.
