need help for credit check and phone contract
HI everyone. I really want to sign a phone contract but my debit card is only 1 month of history. does anyone have a phone contract with such short history of bank account? which network should I try?
another problem, I said to the bank's staff that I changed address several times during last 3 years. can the credit check system see this information? because I heard that changing address may lower the credit score, so I plan to tell the network that I stay in the same address from the past. Is it ok?
and should I apply for the contract online or in store? (if online, then we can have a not-small amount of cashback)
any recommendations are much appreciated :D

When they check your credit, they look at 2 things, the total amount of credit you have(overdraft, credit card, loans) and your payment history (direct debit). I dont think a mobile phone company will give a toss about address providing you make your payments and have some credit, you are not applying for mortgage where things like address are huge.
My stepbrother got a contract with a debit card that had never been used, they don't see your direct debits, they just see your credit outstanding and if you pay or not, and how many times you have applied for credit.
Worst thing that could happen is you pay a deposit for security.

does the checking online lower my credit score? and assumes that it gives me a credit score then how can I know if that score satisfies some network' contract ? do u know any level. I did find some websites offering free credit checking but I am afraid of fraud when I give them my bank account details. so confused but I really need a phone now.

Finding out your own credit history will not help you one bit to be honest, just try and get a phone and see what happens, its easier than posting on here!! They can only say no, so don't worry about it.
Secondly I work in a phone shop and it can be quite tough with various addresses however u can pay a deposit and u can also appeal it If u have further proofs. Also just a little heads up on the fact computer systems are always going down in stores and they don't want to miss out on a sale so will often over ride this just gotta keep popping in different stores and chancing it!
It's always better to go straight to the actual networks shop in these cases as they have more power to override!

Then buy a PAYG one
Best not to be dishonest as these things come back to bite you in the bum later on.
You are best seeing someone in a phone shop face to face as already suggested.
If you are refused then you either have to get a family member to take out the contract and you repay them or if this is not possible then you will have to wait liner for a contract phone and make do with a payg.
God luck, and don't go for something you may struggle to afford each month!
