Need help regarding TFT screens and PS3/XBOX 360

I want to buy a xbox 360 or PS3 to play in my room and want to buy a 22inch TFT monitor to play it on. But I was wondering are TFT's capable of showing a 720p/1080p picture? as I never see this listed in any TFT screens specs unlike more expensive LCD TVs.

Ive noticed some TFT screens have "HDCP" and a DVI connection so will this show a game e.g. GTA 4 as 720p or 1080p?

Thx for ur time

i connected my 360 yesterday to a cheap 15" tft monitor and achieved 1080 the 1080 simply relates to the second number in the resolution of the monitor so any monitor capable of reasonably high resolutions should cope with a 360 at full resolution. i had mine connected through a fan/breakout box which has connections for vga, component and composite and a bog-standard vga cable connecting to the monitor produced excellent results. i then connected the same 360 to a mikomi 19" lcd tv using vga and the picture quality was no different finally i used component leads to connect the mikomi and set the 360 to 1080p and if anything the picture was better using vga YMMV

lol im confused now. So was the picture on your TFT a HD picture?
yes. it achieved fulled 1080 HD. this was on a no-brand 15" tft i'd guess it would look great on a good 22" monitor.
