Hi

A friend ordered some chairs from ebay as brand new from a power seller, they arrived on 21st June very badly damaged. She has emailed the seller many times but no response. She contacted ebay and got a phone number for the seller but she just gets an answerphone. She tried to do a dispute but wan't sure how and now she says that the ebay item isn't even on the system any more...? She's at the stage where she's pulling her hair out, very angry and upset.

She paid by paypal. What should she do?

Anyone help? Thanks

Pete

Does it look like they were damaged in transit or that's how the seller sent them?

Hiya, just another thought, if they were sent courier they will be insured, check that out, if they have the delivery note, worth a try. Good luck

she's not sure if they were damaged in transit - boxes don't look too bad. One of the chairs doesn't recline so must have been dodgy when sent.

Said she tried the paypal resolution but they said she had the wrong item number; she says it is correct, how can that happen?

She may be using the ebay item number when she needs the paypal transaction number. If still having problems then ring paypal and they can walk her through it

RIng paypal - they can be helpful, but make sure you have all the details straight in your head first as they sometimes have "difficulty" understanding you. :whistling:
Be clear and firm and ask paypal to look into asap. Its worked for me in the past.
